Never trust a tout that gives out game of the day/week/month/year/century etc. Never trust a tout who touts winning % without yield. Never trust a tout who has unlimited unit bankroll who would keep raising his bet to artificially inflate the units won using martingale style.

Winning in sports betting is not for everyone. 99% of the touts are simply clueless about sports handicapping and they are just marketers. The ones who win, know its a grind and they do it with money management using an investment style strategy/approach. I recommend reading the articles at bettingresource.com, especially the money management article and using it to follow your picks. Even if you suck at picking games, it would still limit your losses and make your bankroll last longer instead of you having to make a deposit every time you get your paycheck.

Finally to answer the question, the funniest tout story was around 2005 when some tout somehow got my number...i have no idea how....they must be associated with the books that i played in. Back the there were lot of small time books and i didnt know about the big books, so i played in some shitty books that screwed me over by not paying. Anyways, this guy calls me and tells me how he has a game that I must bet and he was basically threatening in a sort to bet that game and tells me that I have to pay him only if win. I knew right away he was some scammer and told him off and he got all mafia on me and told me how he is going to track me down etc....i quickly told him how much of an idiot he is and that the conversation is getting recorded....he hung up before i could finish the sentence.
