You must not watch baseball. Strikeouts happen a lot in baseball and are not game changers, a fumble is a big deal in football, and a game changer. Strikeouts rarely lose you a game in baseball. Fumbles can lose you games in football.

dude brahma, give it up man. You can't make an argument for Forte having a better game. Even if he finishes the game with 50 more yards than Shady, he has 2 fumbles. Most RB's don't want to fumble more than 2 times in 6 or 7 games. He has 2 in one game.

I wonder how much the Broncos regret letting Cutler go. I know McDaniels was the one who screwed everything up in Denver, but just imagine. If they keep Cutler, he is their starting QB, and they don't have to deal with this whole Tebow thing.

it doesn't matter though, people with any clue at all realize that Forte puts up huge numbers on a mediocre offense (not on a team with 8 guys who run a 4.30 40 around him)

The fumbles were extremely uncharacteristic. Aside form that, he had a terrific game running the ball. It's hard to argue about best this, best that. Different guys are best to different teams. Regardless, he is a huge part of the Bears offense and having a huge season.

Forte is not the best pure rusher in football, but his combined talents put him the conversation for top 3 imo. He can rush, he can catch, he can block...he's a complete back. If only he was good in short yardage situations too...but alas...

Even the biggest Forte doubter watching that game had to come away with the impression that Forte is one of the top backs in the league

His combination of Vision, patience and elusiveness is absolutely incredible. There were 3 or 4 runs in this game that Forte made that I don't think any other back in the league could have made (the 13 yard run where he went all the way to 1 side and then all the way back to the other side was spectacular, the 9 yard run where there was an all out blitz and forte still found a way to sliver thru tiny holes was just unreal)

The more you watch him play, the more he you realize he's a modern day Marshall Faulk (not as good of a short distance back but everything else, he does every bit as well as Faulk did - that 13 yard cutback run was vintage Marshall Faulk). I realize Forte fumbled a couple times but that's a complete anamoly - Forte is one of the most surehanded guys in the league so that's not anything I would worry about going forward

I really think he's gonna finish this season with 2200-2400 total yards - my guess is somewhere around 1600-1800 yards rushing (the bears offensive line keeps gaining more and more confidence and their schedule gets way easier) and 600 yards receiving
