He's not the fastest. Not the biggest. But his elusiveness, vision, intelligence and versatility are second to none.

Adrian Peterson. I don't care what people say, but AP is the best RB. Go back and look at the career stats. AP never takes a year off, not since he entered the league. Forte has had some pretty average years.
But if your talking about RIGHT NOW, like AT THIS MOMENT, then I think Forte is up there. Definitely top 5. I'd still take AP over him. Fred Jackson is pretty darn good too.

Forte is better than AP in every way outside of maybe short yard down running
Much Much better receiver
Much better pass blocker as an RB
Much better runner outside of short yard downs

BS BS BS BS.
AP has gone over 1300 yards rushing each year in his career (had one year at 1298, if you don't mind, i'll give him the extra 2 yards and just call it 1300). Forte has never rushed for 1300 yards in his career. Oh and last year he rushed for 1298 in only 15 games, and 1341 in only 14 games in his rookie year.
Forte may have him beat in passing game, but not as much as AP has him beat in the running game.

no the guy on pace for about 2400 total yards is the best RB in football
the fact that he sucks at short yardage means nothing to me - hell I would rather have a guy like Barber take all the pounding on those short yardage downs to keep forte healthy and fresh for rest of the game. Forte has such a huge impact on 3rd downs too cause he's an excellent pass blocker as well as a great receiver (obviously)

this ain't a career achievement award
Forte will be near the top of the league in every RB stat after this game...while playing on a mediocre offense
He's on pace for a Marshall Faulk type season playing on a subpar offense

"on pace" is the stupidest term used in the NFL. wes welker was on pace for 8000 recieving yards but not anymore. forte wont get 2400 total yards this year i guarantee it. AD is miles ahead of this money hungry loser. he will be the next chris johnson and play like shit once he gets a contract

if you are going to base it on that, then fred jackson is best running back in football. he went over 1000 yds from scrimmage in first 7 games.

you know you would have a point if Forte wasn't somehow getting more and more yards every game. He has 685 yards from scrimmage last 4 games and he already has 50 yards in the first quarter in this game

Mccoy plays on the most explosive offense in football you idiot
Mccoy averaged barely 4 yards a carry last year when Vick was not playing

oh cool, so youre basing your best in the game argument on a sample size of 7.25 games, that makes sense

Fred Jackson's awesome - no doubt
He's a very close #2 to Forte, but I give the nod to forte because he doesn't play in the same type of explosive offense as Jackson does
