For the record, one of the dumbest thread titles I have ever seen.
If Vince Young started for the Jets, they would be sub 500 with a top 5 draft pick.

Vince Young is not mentally stable enough to handle New York. There would be 10 times the amount of pressure on him there, from the fans and media. Sanchez also is not bad, He has gotten way more attention and expectations than pretty much any 1st/2nd year qb I can remember. He has delivered many times in late comebacks and has showed composure and the ability to handle adversity.
No, he is not a top tier quarterback yet, but his career is just starting. The Jets are also not a pass oriented offense, so when he has a good game it is still within the system so his numbers are never going to "wow" anyone, but on the other hand if he has a poor performance it will be highlighted that much more. You could look at it as the downside of having a potent running attack.
There is no need to jump the gun on his future yet. It is ridiculous to say they need to get rid of him.

Sanchez is an horrendous quarterback. It seems obvious to me that the Jets really shit the bed in drafting him and making him their starter/franchise guy. There are lots of backup quarterbacks that could have done a lot more with that team than him.
