Not the first time this happened, he benched himself after the NY Giants 1st half beating (9 sacks).

look, if gb played decently on offense..they win by 45..maybe it was the cold or Rogers was beat up..but chic was overmatched

Cutler has Type I diabetes and yet can still play, you need to cut him some slack. Chi was in the game even with playing 3rd string QB, if Cutler had not gotten injured, Chi could have won the game.

It wouldn't have looked so bad if it were any other QB out with a potentially serious knee injury. But the way Cutler's carried himself up to this point, his demeanor and body language and just sheer lack of any intensity whatsoever makes it look real questionable when he's standing on the sideline.

No way a pro athlete gives up in this big of a game. Cutler had a great season and the Packers played bad enough for the Bears to win the game. The decision to take him out was correct, because the Bears were scoreless in the third quarter, and after three quarters. That's not giving up, but trying something else. It's the perception of Cutler working against him. Many don't like him and are just waiting for the first chance to jump all over him.

My buddy is a hardcore Bears fan and was on the verge of driving to Chicago with a baseball bat and making sure Cutler had a knee injury one way or another.

If Cutler had played the whole game, it never would have gotten as close as it did.
1. He did nothing worthwhile from the opening snap.
2. If he stays in, the GB D probably doesn't take two drives off like they did (I do give Hanie credit. He made some plays.)

This may be true, but how many people in this world care about themselves more than the company they work for?

Cutler has never had respect of players or coaches
Bears will never win with him
He just wants to get paid and can care less about winning

Listen to what they're saying. Doesn't seem to be the case. He doesn't have the media or fan's respect or around the league. But his locker room is a different story.
Paid? He doesn't even do endorsements even though he could have.

Clearly the stage was to big for Cutler yesterday. Get in his face and he falls apart. He's Jeff George and has crappy fundamentals which leads to poor accuracy. No surprise he struggled yesterday, 1-4 against the Pack with his QB rating averaging in the 50's in 5 games.

Yeah, I thought that he was tougher than that! I still don't know the injury that sidelined him. I just can't believe the bears made a run at winning with their 3rd string QB

ok if were rookies.tell me this.how many big games has cutler won in his career.none.he is a proving loser and thats why denver got rid of him.do u think denver would of traded him if he was a winner.hell no.the bears have a below averge offense cause cutler doesnt know how to use his offense and until they fix that.he will never win the big game.and if u say he beat seattle in the playoffs.that wasnt a big game .that was a practice game

Reputation got in the way here. If it was someone else nobody would have questioned it. MCL is the kind of injury where it doesn't look that bad, you can walk, but you can't run, cut or plant. Things that an effective QB needs to do. Of course, Collins can't run, cut or plant even when he's healthy, so there is a point to be made there. In any case, the coaches and medical staff knew Cutler couldn't do those things so they thought they had a better chance sitting him.
The notion that he quit is ridiculous. In fact, he got injured with 4 minutes left in the half, but he stayed in another series first half, took a painkiller shot at the half and tried to give it a go 2nd half before they pulled him.
