They didn't fire Belicheck after his assistant got caught videotaping the Rams Superbowl practice. If I remember he had to pay a big fine and they forfeited their first round draft pick. I don't think the NFL can fire a coach. Just fine them or punish them with their draft picks.

Hey, the guy a mistake. There isn't a player or coach on the field who doesn't think about dong the exact same thing. Difference is, he acted on it. He should be reprimanded in some way, but fired? Maybe. An example most likely needs to be made and he voluteered to be it.

What I don't get is why everyone cares so much about this, but not about the fist fight finnegan and johnson had. that was assault and battery, but since it happened on the field, nothing happened. this guy TRIPS a football player and gets more shit than those two idiots last week.

Being a Miami fan I am glad the player is ok and wasn't seriously hurt. If he injured the player, I would be more harsh with the punishment.

I would suspend the coach for the rest of the year and the following year. If someone hires him again and he does it again, lifetime ban.

I doubt he will do it again. People make mistakes and it wasn't like he killed someone.
