    Jets/Pats Under 45(-115)?
IMO this is the play tonight. Both teams will run to set up the pass. NE will throw high % passes to TE's, Welker, and Woodhead. With a big dosage of BJGE. While the Jets will use both S. Greene and LT to keep pressure off of Sanchez to eventually set up the play action pass. I honestly can't see this one being a shootout, it will resemble last nights Steelers/Ravens game.

    My Pick: Under 45 (-115)

    What do you guys think?

    terrible pick...no offense bro

the 2 teams are a combined 17-5 on the Over/Under record on the season. Especially with no Jim Leonhard, The pats should be able to throw a decent amount and we all know how awful the patriots defense is

That's true about Jim Leonhard and I know the Jets will have trouble filling in for him. But in the last 4 years the total has not gone over in back to back games in their regular season meetings. Also the Pats will run the ball. In the game earlier this year the Pats ran the ball only 20 times for 52 yards while the Jets ran the ball 32 times for 136 yards. I think the Pats have learned that they need to run to win. In their last 4 games the Pats won outright and also rushed for over 100 yards. The last game they last was vs. Cleveland and they rushed for under 100 in that game. Running is the key. Both teams will run to set up the pass. Under 45 pts tonight ... Good Luck Bro.

1)why would the Jets run the ball more considering that Mark Sanchez shredded them that last time out?? and that was without Santonio Holmes. Keep in mind the Patriots give up an average of 310 yards passing per game at home

2)on the other side, you mentioned the pats have ran for 100 yards their last 4 games... you didn't mention their last 4 games have gone wayyyyyyyyyyy OVER the line

3)Nearly every home for the Pats and nearly every road game for the Jets has gone OVER the line

everything is supporting the over here...everything

It's a great play. I bought 3 points and have the under 48. If brahmabull117 is against this bet, that's actually a really good sign. I glanced over his previous posts and it's loaded with lol horrible picks/advice. The weather will be similar to what we saw Sunday night, and both defenses should play great considering how big a game this is.

I normally never buy points, but I feel so good about the under that I'm not worried about losing the juice. We'll see!

So ... your saying that the Jets D is on the same level as Detroit and Indianapolis? I seriously doubt that Sanchez is going to throw for another 3 TD's vs NE especially in NE. New England will wear down the Jets D by throwing short high % passes to Welker, the TE's, and Woodhead. The Jets will try to keep the Pats offense off of the field by running it with Greene and LT and utilizing the play action pass.

I'm not worried about what everyone else has for their plays or what their record is or isn't. Brahmabull has a legitimate argument and all signs do point to an over based the teams' last few games. I'm glad your on my side robinhood. Hopefully it doesn't have to come down to your points that you bought. Let's just hope for a 20-10 game here lol

no but it is about the same level as the Steelers and the patriots still scored almost 40 points against the Steelers in a game that absolutely crushed the OVER line

I seriously doubt that Sanchez is going to throw for another 3 TD's vs NE especially in NE.
                            why do you doubt it??

sanchez has played well in 3 out of of his last 4 games and he played fantastic that first matchup. Patriots have perhaps the worst secondary in the league and give up nearly 310 yards passing per game at home

the jets offense is gonna have a very big game

personally, I think you are insane to ever take an UNDER in a game involving the Patriots. This team has the best offense in the world with a god awful defense.

I personally like the Over 44.5 or whatever number you get. Haven't played it yet and my only play locked in so far is the Over 9.5 1Q.

But I really think some of you are over analyzing this Jets defense. Yes, there great ranked 3rd overall in defense but this Patriot offense in my opinion can be successful against any defense. Brady has 2703 yards passing but his highest receiver with yards is Welker at 592. Brady (and his name must be mentioned over and over again) knows how to spread the ball around. Cromartie and Revis won't be able to shut down all 5 of Brady's targets. I'm telling you Brady is going to pass all over this defense tonight.

Any New England total set at under 50 is an automatic OVER bet for me. Their offense can score plenty of points on anyone and their defense continues to make mediocre quarterbacks look like Dan Marino in his prime week after week. Might be cold and windy tonight, but I still think it easily goes over.

This game will be won in the trenches and Jets will manhandle the Pats defensive line, which will open up the play action pass and the rest is history

I agree with this but I also think that Sanchez will have a monster game as well. he had a 130 QB rating that first time out

in the end though, the jets will be able to get that extra stop that the pats won't be able to get

I think Brady is going to come out slinging the ball all over the place. That's the best way for NE to neutralize any blitz packages, get them moving backwards. I also believe NE recognizes that the best chance for them to come away with a W is to put the Jets in a hole early and keep running up the score. I highly doubt you'll see a pound the ground game out of NE. That would play right into the Jets game plan letting them hang around keeping the score dangerously close. NE's bread and butter is Bradys' arm and they know it. I look to see a game plan from NE similar to what they did against Pittsburg, use the pass to set up the run. I also think this games rides over easily, I think NE hits in the mid 30's and NY mid 20's.

PS, I don't think this game will remotely resemble last nights game. I could see a 10-7 score in the first quarter alone, this game has all the makings of a shootout IMO!!!!

Based on the MNF record of overs this season I'm taking the over it's 44.5 now.
