Ok, I'm going to start by saying I'm a lions fan. (I know, its sad, but I was born here) Now let me say why I'm betting against them today. First of all, they are without Matthew Stafford. They play much better when he is running the show. Shaun Hill is an adequate replacement, but you must remember that he is playing with essentially a broken arm. Next, Jahvid Best will play, but if you watched their last game, you saw that he has turf toe in both of his big toes. As small of an injury as that sounds like, its quite painful and slows you down. The lions really need a win, but I feel like they are caught in between that point of clinging to a hope of change in detroit and giving up on their season. They won't have the same fire as they have had the past few weeks after coming off a defeat against another 2-7 team, Dallas. That takes care of the offense, but now lets look at the defense. They defensive line is pretty good, but where their defense breaks down is in the pass game. They give up yards way too easily, and if Brady plays (questionable at this point), I believe it will be a slaughtering. Now the Pats, they need a win here to keep from losing ground with the Jets. A couple weeks ago they were embarrassed on the road against Cleveland and look how they've played since then. I just don't see this game going well for the lions. I believe if they get down by more than a touchdown, this game could turn ugly fast.

Lions are a bit better but come on man. On thanksgiving you can guarantee 2 things. 1. Eating a shit load of turkey 2. Lions getting routed. Happens every year and the forecast calls for the norm. There isn't a chance in hell that the Lions win this game. Brady has been on the injury report every week for the last 6 years, he will play. He might sit the 2nd half when the Pats are up 3 tds.

And as far as Pats being a public play, no shit. Betting against the Lions on Thanksgiving has been a way of paying for the family dinner since the dawn of time.

Just a little hint, though -- I wouldn't bet against this kind of RLM long-term. Pinny went to 6 right before kickoff, while the public was pounding the Pats at 7.5 @ square shops.
