Either take the Lions or don't play it
This is a principle bet. Books were slaughtered last week, and NE is a monster public play. Line has gone from +7 to +6.5 to lure even more Detroit bettors in.

Don't do it. If the Pats cover, so be it. But they are not the play. Oddsmakers are trying to set you up and get you back for taking their money last week with the Packers, Falcons, Eagles and all of the other square bets that cashed.

If it was so easy to fool people like this, why isn't it done for every single game? How did the books get beat in the first place?

Because nobody would gamble if they just lost every week

I think you overestimate the books sir. Packers Falcons and Eagles happened to be the right plays last week, as was Tampa Bay. Maybe you should spend more time watching games and looking at stats and less time worrying about who's betting on who.

i feel fortunate that my book still had New Orleans at -3.5 this morning
so I bought the hook and went Saints -3 (-120).
We shouldn't be surprised if the Saints line sees 4.5 or even 5.5 by kickoff tomorrow.
The Dallas revival/home angle is the only thing keeping it this low.
Truthfully I expect the Saints to win by 10+..
it's by far my favorite play tomorrow. I see no reason to put money on the other two
games. Lions may give Patriots a battle and have success passing.

              Good luck.

I have a feeling Saints are going to have another game like when they played arizona.

Lions will give the Pats a game here. Detroit is finally headed in the right direction and the Pats are coming off an extremely tough game against Indy.

Detroit heading in the right direction? They've lost 3 straight and they have been banged up all year. Pats played a great game last week against the Colts either team could of won that game. The Patriots know how tough wins are to come by in this league and their in a division race with the Jets who are 8-2, which the Jets are very fortunate let me remind you. Pats won't let this game get away from them. I agree the Lions will keep it close and +6.5/7, whatever you get, is definitely worth a look but Pats will win. I teased the Pats down to -0.5.

This is a great chance for the Lions to show their fans they're headed back in the right direction. I'm not sure if they'll win SU, but I expect a close game -- likely a 3-4 point NE win.

Sure Detroit is headed in the right direction. But they don't have a shot at beating the Patriots. The game won't even be close in my opinion. As for the Saints .. Well they should handle the Cowboy's. Good luck to all you betters out there hope you make a killing and hope yall have a great thanksgiving and a happy holiday season.

I think the saints are a good play. Cowboys will come back to life. Kitna isnt going to march all over the saints in a dome. No shot.

Going to be a tight game thats the Pats still take the W. They can't let a game like this get away from them. Detroit +7 is a strong play but for my teaser sake I just need a Pats win.

We're being told what to do or not do based on the books getting beat last week. You think they're due to win and are "setting us up", but what if the books won last week? Would you still be telling us what to do, or would they no longer be "setting us up"??

The arrogance and simple-mindedness of this clown kid, who plays at Sportsbook.com, amazes me.

No way I would bet on Detroit even tho they have done well covering spreads this year. Just no way I would pick the Lions over Pats. The game seems real sketch to me and I am probably overthinking it, so I have decided to just sit it out and enjoy watching it. I think Pats cover, but my concern is that Cal Johnson puts up some big yards/TD's and the Lions keep it close. As usual, best of luck to all!

I have a paid subscription to Rotowire, more for fantasy purposes than betting. However, it's nice to see inside info on star players that you can't always find elsewhere.

In any case, this is their note on Brady earlier tonight: "Brady (foot/shoulder) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Lions, Ian R. Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports. We'd be very surprised to see Brady sit the Patriots' Thanksgiving tilt out, but the "questionable" designation is curious enough to make it worth his owners' trouble (just to be safe) to verify his status prior to Thursday's 12:30 ET kickoff."

As long as Brady gets the 'all clear' tomorrow, I'm gonna pound the shit out of the pats. Landers posting that he's on the Lions put that bet into sure winner status (assuming Brady plays).

Pats is my play. Shaun Hill is coming off an injury and Calvin Johnson is banged up, too many variables for me to go with the Lions. I'll wait to see if Brady is inactive, and if he isn't then I will be all over the Pats tomorrow

You think they're due to win and are "setting us up", but what if the books won last week? Would you still be telling us what to do, or would they no longer be "setting us up"??

Its always either the 2nd or 3rd game. Its either dallas or the bengals winning straight up and it would be hard for me to believe its the bengals.

Lions getting routed. Happens every year and the forecast calls for the norm. There isn't a chance in hell that the Lions win this game. Brady has been on the injury report every week for the last 6 years, he will play. He might sit the 2nd half when the Pats are up 3 tds.

And as far as Pats being a public play, no shit. Betting against the Lions on Thanksgiving has been a way of paying for the family dinner since the dawn of time.
