Betting dogs is definitely good. Some weeks you end up in red, but more often than not it is profitable. In the long term you can hardly go broke with this "dog strategy". I often play even very heavy dogs for a 0.5 unit, and the + spread they have for a 1.5 units. However, there are weeks when the best thing would be to just parlay a few favs or stay away. I´m afraid there is no magic formula to recognize who is going to screw you up.
