I am finally winning money just look at the game without the point spread and ask yourself who is going to win and go with the better team if there is hesitation then just stay off of it.

Had huuuuuuuge bets on Steelers -2.5, both str8 up and the last leg of a big parlay. Lost that by a couple inches.

Lost a parlay with the Skins and Cheifs team totals because the skins FG kicker couldnt hit a 37 yarder.

Lost a parlay with Bucs -2.5 because they couldnt convert the 2 pt convo.

Lol, this week had a lot of potential for me, ALMOST won big, but instead lost pretty big due to the above plays. Won some of my money back on a 4 team parlay i hit, with ATL/TB/TEN/CAR. That was a nice little last second win.

I just went 3-0 with the early games.....Only had 1 bad sunday this season (1-4)...right now i am 26-12-2 YTD all against the spread....Love the NFL

I'm winning money.

My advice is to say away from teasers, and pick a games where you think you have an edge. Teams you know etc. Don't ever say " I can't picture this team winning", because dudes with bad imaginations lose big money.

I'm up an outstanding grand total of....wait for it....$5.07 today. That NO worthless touchdown and the Bills tying it to only blow it in OT really helped me out on my overs in the 2H for Cle/NO and Bal. Philly and Chicago killed me but all things considered I think I got away with a few lucky ones today.

Luckily I have Oakland and the over today in that game.
I got NE ML and the over in that game as well...optimistic I'll come out at least breakeven there.
Got Min ATS and over on the night cap.

Nope, had my best Saturday since the beginning of the season yesterday in college ball, look to give at least half that profit back today. I'm really getting to hate the NFL, I just can't win in it...

A couple weeks ago, I was at my bookie's house (we're decently good friends) just watching some games and he was saying that 3 and 4 team teasers are really what kill him in the NFL so I've been messing with those quite a bit, to a fairly good success rate. Sure, the payoffs arent great, but when you get an extra 10 pts on dogs, its a helluva lot easier to cover given how sharp NFL lines usually are. Looking at the early games today, a 3T +10 teaser picking all dogs would have covered 7/9 games....and looking like it's going to be 2/3 in afternoon. Just gotta be sure to pick the right ones (usually lower scoring games)!!

I partly agree, but what if sometimes the winner has unbettable odds (high chalk)? What is the highest price you are willing to pay for a "certain winner" (as we all know that there is nothing for sure in betting)?

I win and lose in series, which can last from one or two nights to a week at most. I do pretty well in NFL, but mostly because after a successful sunday, I take the next sunday off. Will try to apply this on other sports too, especially NHL. The most important thing is not to lose all your winnings during the losing streak. If you see you are on one, stop betting or bet just a half of unit instead of the whole unit. This sunday is very, very bloody for some including me

Agreed just saying pick the right side then justify a line instead of bouncing the game back and forth with all the well if's and but if's

ive been breaking about even in college all year, but am 27-11-2 in nfl thus far went 10-3 yesterday. i like to loom at the spreads from a standpoint of which dogs i think actually stand a chance to win outright and then determine my amount of wager accordingly taking into perspective if the game is away or at home and what injuries each team has. betting dogs is your best bet in the nfl as at theend of the day they are all professional teams and no one team has anybody on their roster that isnt of pro quality or they wouldnt be there. about 75% of my nfl bets have been on underdogs this year

I've had a good year on NFL. went 3-1 yesterday and I'm on for tonight as well. NFL this year has been real good for me at least but seems to be tightening up lately.

Actually, my weeks go like this:

Build up the bankroll M-F.
Get screwed on Saturday.
Recover the bankroll on Sunday to where it was on Friday.

So, the NFL has been good to me so far. I just try to keep it simple. Best side, and best total in the morning games. Best total or side in the afternoon games. Evening depends on the game.

I was doing poorly at first, but here is my new system;

Handicap all games myself, without looking at the lines....if they are off, go with the other team. Usually that means there is some inside info i'm not seeing. Basically I fade myself - been working for me the last 3 weeks.
