Things in life that look too good to be true ARE! 49ers are terrible and Raiders are worse. David Carr comes into this game and gets the starting job from here on out. No way this line should be 7. It has F the public all over it. Take the born again David Carr 9ers and win some money!!

There is no way I could play the 49er's! Yes they are due for a breakout out game but you can go broke using that angle. Raiders will be competitive here. Plus points or nothing for me.

Even though I'm a Raiders fan I tend to bet w/o my heart, and take a more realistic approach using the stats and my own research from watching games. I have previous Pac-10 coaching experience and have worked in College and pro football, my last stint ending last February.

I hardly ever bet, and when I do i maybe win 2/3 of them. I am not betting this game, b/c i just don't feel comfortable with either team.

The Raiders are playing with house money per say since they just snapped losing streak with SD. One thing this team has showed over the past year is that they know how to fight( insert Tom Cable Randy Hanson joke). This team is not the best or brightest, but they fight. Even if DMAC plays, he will be a step slow. Bush can handle the majority of the load and Rock Cartwright is almost adequate. The Raiders will also use Marcel Reese on some downs and the kid has a gear that doesn't get used often out of the back field or in the flat.

The offesnive line is the big question mark. The left side is a lot stronger than the right. The 49ers will get to the QB however.

I think this game comes down to Alex Smith though. Gore is having a pedestrian season and there just not getting it done when they get him the ball, and Westbrook hardly plays. I don't think Gore can carry the load anymore by himself. Smith will be forced to pass and we all know what that looks like.

You also have to look at SF's locker room. They are decimated. Takeo Spikes in post game told one anchor that Coach Sing can't say anything else at this point. We also know that V. Davis and Crabtree have issues with each other, and we all know what bad blood mixed with a loosing atmosphere creates. Coach Sing also may have lost his team when he told Smith he would sit and bring in Carr, which he admitted to doing. And he can't explain why Carr never went in, and neither are saying anything to the media. It was addressed as a "private" matter. As of yesterdays press conference, Sing still hadn't talked to Carr either.

The minute things go wrong for SF (if they do on Sunday) I doubt they will be able recover. They will have a lame duck head coach and QB.

I really think this game comes down to special teams. Janikowski's leg vs SF's KO & Punt return teams. SF is -12 in the t/o margin and Oak is @ 0
The Play propensity ydg is almost equal with SF having a fractional edge.

Thanks for allowing me to rattle this off and I wish you all the best this week and the rest of the season.
Good stuff. 'Rattle off' about the Raiders and local locker rooms any time.

Oakland will cover the spread and game will be very close with possible Oakland squeaking out an outright win. Confidence will be high on the Oakland side after last weeks win, plus you have the 49ers who have been on the wrong side of so many close games, that its definitely taking its toll on the team. If Raiders can slow down Gore I dont see Alex Smith and the 49ers receiving core scoring enough to beat Raiders. Raiders plus the points and the Raiders ML.

the reason is they are crap and they are in total turmoil how on earth can you expect them to beat a side who beat the chargers last week let alone give them a 6.5 start

ugh, they covered when they were supposed to cover.

a 49er win woudln't be surprising. Who would of thought we'd see a 3-1 KC team?

This game will be extremely tight 3 to 4 point difference. Both team don't like each other that much as evident in the pre season match up this season, and both teams are nearly equal. You got the Raiders on the upswing and the 49ers on the downswing. I would say previous Raiders teams would not have shown up on the road, but this team has some heart as shown by their effort last week. The raiders have been in all their games this year except for the first game in Tennessee. Raiders plus the points is a gift.

Absurd... Line was fine. If anything, they were begging for Lions action. Easiest game of the year to predict. Desperate Lions team( that many people like) v a lousy Rams team that aint gonna win three in a row, much less on the road...

Don't believe you were possibly ridiculed for thinking Lions would not win that game. Ridiculous.

The raiders are in a position where they can win there next 3 before the bye week s.f. is good but there players seem to be quiting on singeltery. the raiders are the play to the over here. A lot of niner games go over when they are at home.

[quote=Casperwaits;6828451]With the line at 49ers -6.5 and Total 41 I am LOVING the 49ers and the UNDER in this game. A few observations.

Both teams have average quarterbacks at best. If Smith starts out poorly, you know he will be pulled for the older version of him in David Carr. I know the Raiders scored points last week, but they benefited from turnovers and I just don't see Campbell leading this team to another game of 20+ points. That addage "must win" has been used to describe the last four 49ers games. The owner has guaranteed a playoff berth for his team this year, and I suspect that guarantee may come to fruition in a weak division. The line will give Raiders fans and casual bettors here in Vegas a reason to salivate, but I feel sharp bettors will see the line as an indicator to bet San Fran.[/quot

If the niners dont win this game their season is over
