Jets won't be able to run on the Vikes defense they tore up the Bills two completely different teams. Brett Farve and Moss are decimate Revis.

Jets look to be the favorite and more cohesive team in this game. Especially now with Favre having all these sexual harassment issues being looked into. Santonio Holmes is also back for the Jets....just as dangerous a deep threat for the Jets as Moss is to Minnesota.

That being said anything is possible with both these teams....possibly a lean on the OVER of 38.5 is probably the most prudent play.

Taking Vikes in this situation. Backs against the wall, on the big stage I see the Vikes pulling this one out. Moss will not immediately fix things in Minnesota but he will provide a spark for them offensively. I look for Favre took let them fly tonight in Randy's direction (hopefully not at the Jets defenders).

If the Jets ground game gets curbed (which is a very good chance), no way Sanchez outplays Favre tonight. Not because Favre is that much better, but Sanchez still plays scared and is a below average QB in my opinion. On MNF, I'll take Favre and Moss all the live long day.

False. Moss isn't a route runner as much as Moss is a streak-to-the-post-and-take-two-defenders-with-him WR. That takes little very understanding of the playbook or timing. Also, Moss spent the majority of his career in the west-coast-offense under Denny Green. This playbook is old hat for Moss, no learning curve at all for a guy that is also known as an intelligent football mind. Moss makes an immediate impact, period.

Part of me wants to take the Vikings ML, but

with Favre having elbow tendonitis on top of what must have been

a very sad birthday yesterday and being at the Jets with full embarrassment

in his mind, I don't think he wants to play in front of all these people who have

seen his penis.

It's never happenned before in professional sports, and it's happenned

to one of the most revered players ever.

I know what you mean, but don't be fooled about Favre. In a very sick and sadistic way I think he enjoys this type of publicity. I see this subplot as adding fuel to his fire. He needed something like this to wake him up from the dead IMO. Just remember last year when he went into a hostile Lambeau field and put up one of his best performances.

I can see he and Moss bonding and making this an "us vs. the world" rallying point.

I don't think so. I've been following Favre since 1991, and I'm 42.
He was suicidal when Deanna almost left him when this happenned
in the 90's, they were high school sweethearts, he was on pain killers
and an alcoholic. Still probably is. She married him on a promise he would
be faithful. He does have shame. Inside he is crumbling over this, and nobody's talking about what his birthday must have been like. This is a lot worse as he is older and has a grown daughter.
People need to realize that the video showing his penis did not have to be
sought for.. it was there in the top search result all week. With no screening
for minors, or any warning from deadspin. It really bothers me because they did
not have to show that unfiltered, uncovered for the story to have the same
effect. They must have weighed the risk/reward with their lawyers beforehand.
It's really a statement about how low this country has sunk in my opinion, to have that promoted and viewable to any internet user.

Based on what? Favre has only been sacked 6 times all year so far and that was with practice squad guys @ WR. The Jets have only recorded 8 sacks this year, last year they only had 17 for the whole season.

Watch how this offense opens up with Moss drawing 2 guys off the box. Peterson will run wild, the underneath stuff with be available for Harvin, Shiancoe, etc. Moss will be the key that unlocks this sputtering offense.

Lets see. Jets have the better defense, the better QB, the better WR, and a two punch tandem RB. What do Vikings have to pull an upset on the road? Not to mention that Vikings are a dome team and play poorly on grass which coincidentally is their first grass game of the season. This game reminds me of the 2000 playoff game between the Giants and the Vikings where the Vikings lost 41-0.
