Absolutely they will get murdered. But this is what happens when people insist on backing a lifeless team with no game plan on how to win games. Yes they were lucky to have a miracle last drive vs Saints and covered the +5 on week 2 but they still lost the game. Atlanta is going to be relentless and finish the game early with the multiple weapons they have on offense. Now if you are a defensive coordinator what would you do to beat the Falcons? Stuff the line so Turner and Snelling can't run the ball? Then White and Gonzalez will have career days (this was the game plan of San Fran last year when they lost 45-10 and they got burned). If they chose to double team White and Gonzalez this year Turner and Snelling will have 50 yard runs all day. So basically 49ers will pick their own poison on how they will prefer to get beaten.

really like this pick, but just want to mention that buffalo always plays good against the jets. And if you look in the past. Sanchez puts up horrible numbers against buffalo.

While the possibility of the Jets going into Buff. and rolling, is there....if this does not constitute a potential flat spot for the Jets, I don't know what would. Two impressive divisional wins, the public bashing has finally subsided, and a spot for them to return to their natural smug state. In spite of Buff showing a pulse last week, they are still winless and going nowhere. I don't know how Jets go in there with any mental edge. While Jets are much better team, to me this is either a play on Buff and points, or no play.

When someone has no concrete arguments on why they are backing a team it becomes like a cat and mouse game for them. The line could have been Falcons -3. These people will still find a reason not to back the better team. "If the Falcons are going to win then why are they only favored by a FG and not by a TD?"

I 100% agree with you Pavyracer!...the last time I was on these boards, you had Alexander the Great in your avatar!..anyhow, once again, this is why a lot of forum members on here have no damn business gambling...They simply outsmart themselves by trying to be too cute and look for that "sucker" bet and/or "trap" game!...Truth be told, and for all intents and purposes, there is no empirical data to back this up one way or another...sometimes they hit, and sometimes they don't...My theory has always been the only "sucker" bet and/or "trap" bet is the one you lose!..In this case, there are three of them as the greek and all the sheep are tailing the Giants, Browns, and 49'ers....I LOVE the Bears (+4) against Giants, Cincy (-3) against Browns (even better now that Jake Delhomme is starting...) and Pitt (pk) against the Ravens...and yes, I like the Falcons (-7) against San Fran....There is a very good chance that these plays go 3 - 1....well, as always, good to luck to all!....

My winning strategy has been to cap the game first using blinders while the line is set by the linemakers and being bet up and down. Then once I'm finished with this process I look at the line movement and where the line is at. If I don't like the line I simply don't place a bet and do not try to find a trap angle or a sucker bet angle on why the line is set like this. The goal is not to win all the games you cap. The goal is to win more games you cap than lose.
