I see that a lot of people really like the niners this week. Best of luck to anyone who decides to wager on them, but I will never put money on an inferior team traveling all the way across the country to play a 1 o'clock game.

I changed my mind about the niners a little, we'll have to wait till game time to decide.

don't like the little move back to 7. Most likely have atl in some kind of a teaser.

Love the browns. Also thinking hard about taking the Raiders. Texans only laying -3 against the raiders. THe black hole was deadly for some very good teams last year. Looking hard at the rams as well.

Giants just arent that good. They will only win cause the bears are stupid and will keep passing versus that porous giants run defense. The bears should pound taylor and forte all game long.

49ers are the best bet of the week.

Sure LT. Lets unload on the team with no offensive coordinator to beat the hottest team in the league right now. Falcons put 45 points on San Fran last year and 45 points on Cardinals 2 weeks ago. Lets fade the hottest team in town.

There are SO MANY reasons to like the Niners this week, I can;t even list them all.

If I recall you also thought I was nuts when I said Cowboys were the best bet this year so far vs. Texans last week?

                        Well for starters:

Teams that beat the Super Bowl champion have been a 60% fade the following week

Niners were in a dead spot last week, playing a non-conference foe on a short week following emotional Monday game vs. Saints, so they will play better this week

Firing of offensive coordinator was a GOOD thing

49ers playing to avoid 0-4 start, which really means they are playing for their season. If they win this week, they could still win division because none of other teams are going to run away.

                        Revenge for last year.

76% of bet are on Falcons, yet they went from -7 to -6.5

                        Need I go on?

After closer study, I like the Giants too. Looks like a classic case of undervalued team facing overrated team, the Giants should bounce back strong from home loss and the Bears are simply Paper Tigers (paper Bears?...LOL).

If they played this game two weeks ago, Giants would have been -6, so -4 is great value.

Giants are a mismanaged team, no infrastructure, no discipline, Coughlin should be fired. He is the worst clock manager in the history of football and his team is simply not organized. If the giants were smart they would go after Mr. Jim Harbaugh very hard.

3 teams underperformed the spread last week by 3TDs or more - Jax, NYG, and SF

The play is on these teams this week - 2/3 will hit

Let me give you the reasons why Falcons will destroy 49ers:

QB: Matt Ryan is in the Top 5 in NFL - Alex Smith is in the Bottom 5 in NFL
RB: Michael Turner and Jason Snelling are the best tandem in the NFL.

Travelling: Atlanta played home two weeks ago to Cardinals. Actually they only played one half and beat them. Then they had a short 500 mile flight to New Orleans to play the Saints.

49ers had a Monday night game vs the Superbowl champions. Then flew 2000 miles to Kansas City where they got their asses handed to them. Then they flew back 2000 miles to San Fransico where they fired their offensive coordinator. New coordinator has basically 3 days to prepare the team to face a mighty opponent at a hostile noisy environment (good luck getting the plays to the QB). Then they have to fly 3000 miles to play the Falcons where the Falcons are sitting home and studying film of the non-existent 49ers offense.

So go put your money on the 49ers and make the books rich. Someone has to pay the bills.

You guys were saying the same thing when the Niners played the Saints, alex smith this and drew brees that, blah blah.

Niners covered, Saints lucky to win game.

I called it a week ahead.

This spot is not the same but comparing QB's and who's actually better means nothing, Cutler sucks and Rodgers is the man, oh wait packers lost to the pathetic bears. Now these 3-0 bears will go and lose to a pathetic 1-2 Giants team which looks lost.

How are dogs doing so far this year? I'm sure books are getting rich off people playing Atlanta -6.5 than SF +7.

Someone has to pay the bills.[/quote]

Now these 3-0 bears will go and lose to a pathetic 1-2 Giants team which looks lost.

Atlanta covered 2 of 3 games and San Fran covered 1 of 3 games. So you lost 2 times out of the 3 you backed San Fran and I won 2 out of 3 times I backed Atlanta.

Absolutely they will get murdered. But this is what happens when people insist on backing a lifeless team with no game plan on how to win games. Yes they were lucky to have a miracle last drive vs Saints and covered the +5 on week 2 but they still lost the game. Atlanta is going to be relentless and finish the game early with the multiple weapons they have on offense. Now if you are a defensive coordinator what would you do to beat the Falcons? Stuff the line so Turner and Snelling can't run the ball? Then White and Gonzalez will have career days (this was the game plan of San Fran last year when they lost 45-10 and they got burned). If they chose to double team White and Gonzalez this year Turner and Snelling will have 50 yard runs all day. So basically 49ers will pick their own poison on how they will prefer to get beaten.

Candlestick winds messed up Brees. Rice's jersey was retired. SF at home . . . they had everything going for them. I'm calling it . . . Gonzalez has a career night, tds over Dashon Goldson all day.

Teams that beat the Super Bowl champion have been a 60% fade the following week

Niners were in a dead spot last week, playing a non-conference foe on a short week following emotional Monday game vs. Saints, so they will play better this week

Firing of offensive coordinator was a GOOD thing
