#361Actually I think he is picking his spots and making smart wagers without forcing action which what most guys do around here. If that is the oldest tool know to man than more people should be doing it. I personally disagree with you picks except maybe the Steelers but Playboy picked the under did'nt he? Why are you posting your picks here? It's just something that I have never understood all my time on this board is the constent challenging by other posters when someone does well. Not attacking you personally because lot's of people do it. Just don't get why?
no offense taken, GG!...Afterall, it's just a damn messageboard...We are all free to voice our opinions, picks, thoughts, etc, etc...I just posted my picks specifically on this thread as a pleasant conversation for gambling fodder and because I disagree with Playboy on a couple of those games and more to your point, Playboy was the first one that started this thread by posting his picks so why don't you ask him why he posted his picks here??!!....and where in the hell did you get the notion that I attacked playboy??!!...I didn't!..It's all good, clean fun!...I didn't resort to anykind of name calling which I know a lot of posters on here do...What I find utterly annoying on these boards is how a player goes on a little mini tear and everybody sniffs his jock and slurps him up!...It's as almost as if they have never won a game gambling in their whole lives!.......to be easily impressed by such a feat goes to show that people on here have no damn business gambling because they can't handicap for themselves...Speaking of which, the "sucker" bet and "trap" play is a tactic that is used by many players..It's the reason why a lot of people have the Giants, Browns, and San Fran this week....Anyhow, it's all good!...I don't mind spirited debates as long people can keep it clean and civil!...

#364[quote=Skware;6644195][quote=Da Manster!;6639443](even better now that Jake Delhomme is starting at QB for the Browns.
Well, IMO, if you or anybody else is willing put their hard earned money gambling on a team with Jake Delhomme as your QB, then be my guest!!..........
......The human turnover (INT) machine known as Jake the Fake will dissapoint you more often than not but if you're confident in his abilities and go ahead and piss your money away on him!....To my point, I liked the Bengals as a strong play if Senecca Wallace were the QB for the Browns, but I really LOVE the Bengals now that Jake Delhomme has been named the starter the Browns!.
.....Not only that, but this a bad matchup for the Browns corners against the WR's of Cincy...Historically, Carson Palmer has played well against Cleveland and has lit them up and the Bengals D this year is better than ever before...I think this game should be an easy cover IMO....

Shonner,
I hear you loud and clear on that!..Carson Palmer is indeed overrated and overhyped, but remember, some of those offensive stats are skewed because the Bengals have already played the Ravens...nobody is going move the ball on them with anykind of consistency....Furthermore, like I previously mentioned, this game is just a bad matchup for the Browns...Carson Palmer should come out of his funk in a big way and historically he's done well against the Browns and their hapless secondary...I really think the Bengals got their offense going in this one...The other "X" factor in this game is Terrell Owens...I think the "sleeping" giant finally wakes up!...Comment -

It is obvious you are not a true handicapper when you use sentences like "i think the sleeping giant finally wakes up" and calling TO an X-factor. Are you a bengals fan? Banking on TO having a big game is no way to pick the game. Honestly, the Browns are really the play. You think they are that bad? Check out what Peyton Hillis did to the best run defense in the league last week. The dude has flat out been running his ass off week in and week out. Even if JD is starting at QB, they will put up a good fight. He isn't going to be throwing the ball 35 times a game becuase they will pound the rock. He will simply need to manage the game and make a couple good throws, which he is capable of doing. As for Cincy, what exactly makes you think their passing game is going to turn the corner? I just don't see it. Flacco had a great day throwing for 262 and 3 td's and they still only beat the browns by a TD. Quite honestly, I don't know that Palmer can put up a day like Flacco did last week. Ochocinco is playing hurt. I just don't understand your love for the Bengals.Comment -

That was the exception, not the rule...Baltimores D is still one of the top units in the NFL!...But go ahead, put your money on a garbage team that is 0 - 3 against a 2-1 team who has gone 8 -0 against their division rivals the last year or so.Comment -

#375And last year they beat the 23-20 in OT and 16-7. In 2008 the bengals won 20-12 and lost 14-0. All pretty close games.
And the browns are better than the past two years, IMO.Comment -

Well, that is your opinion and opinions are like assholes....everyone's got one and they usually stink...Obviously reading comprehension is a problem with you so I will reiterate this one more time...I specifically mentioned that TO was the "X" factor because of his size and speed against the smallish Browns CB's....it's a mismatch which Carson Palmer should easily exploit and I think he will!...I'm not saying that is the only factor in the game, but I think TO will have a good game but I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket waiting for that to happen...I'm looking this from a team vs. team perspective....Correct me if I' wrong, but didn't Cinci just a couple of weeks ago BEAT Baltimore 15 -10??!!.......and didn't your beloved browns just lose to the ravens 24 - 17?!!...
...no, I'm not a Bengals fan, don't even like them, but I think they are they better team, with the better record, and they need this win to keep pace with the Steelers and Ravens.

#377They won that game 15-10 on two BULLSHIT calls that lead to two FG's. Give me a break. Go back and watch that game, it was just as close of a game as the BAL - CLE game.
And don't get me wrong...the browns are bad...but the bengals aren't some force to be reckoned withComment -

Remember, the Bengals are also improved this year because of their D...I think it's only a matter of time before their offense "wakes" up...Statistically speaking, the Bengals are currently ranked #15 in total offense and their defense is #8....Conversely, the Browns are ranked #19 in total offense and defense is ranked #15....Advantage Bengals on both counts.Comment -
