My biggest bet of the day was Buff/Ottawa under 5.5. Two mediocre at best offenses and Miller in net?

Detroit looking solid too. Under has been hitting nicely for hockey, but I fear the games will start to rebound and we'll see a long stretch of overs to even it out.

As far as NFL, tomorrow I already got the Bears -5, and I like the Broncos +9. Can't wait to hear Smack's picks.

I placed a large bet on the Bears ML (-230), the value just seems too good.

Here's why I really like the bears:
Stanton at QB, in his has a pick:TD ratio of 2:7 (with four fumbles)
Bears know they need to continue to win to fend off GB to win the division.
Lions DE Vanden Bosch is doubtful, so even if he does play it's likely at less than 100%
Chicago sports the #2 rushing D (80 ypg) and only given up 8 passing TDs
Detroit gives up 128 rushing ypg (24th) and surrendered 20 passing TDs


It's screaming square play - I know, but Atlanta was in the same position last week. The value is too good to overlook, and this is my biggest play for tomorrow, before I see Smack's play.

Huge Lions fan here and trust me guys Drew Stanton is horendous!!!

In 2008 the offensive coordinator Jim Coletto had this to say about Stanton " that he wouldn't put Stanton in the game and "... embarrass the kid just to prove a point to somebody else."

Looking like no VandenBosch, Martz saying more deep passes are on the horizon (I'm guessing immediate after seeing Brady to Branch last week) this is spelling disaster for the Leo's. Even when the deep passes don't connect they usually get flagged for pass INT.

Chicago knows this is the last "easy" game for them on their remaining schedule and they need every win to contend with Green Bay the rest of the way so they will not take this game lightly.

This is not the same Lions team that had a punch early in the season, they are demoralized at 2 and 9 and injuries are overwhelming them, one bad or controversial in the game and you can sense the quit in this team.

Takes the Bears -4.5 and sleep easy.

I'm all over the Bears -4 1/2 (Bookmaker). Drew Stanton will get killed by Peppers.

I'm leaning toward St. Louis -3 1/2, the Cards are crap and Bradford should dismantle them. Troy Smith had a ton of time in the pocket, Bradford will pick them apart with that kind of time.

Great pick Erock, I have never seen a salami like this - 67.5 at bookmaker, I projected 61 and got down big on the under, 58 was the actual total for a big win, waiting now for the big rebound
