We have all had good runs only to cool off, and then we wait to get hot again.

The smart thing is to be flexible on the number of bets, amounts and sports when on fire or frozen.

I have been saying that for a few weeks now. Too many children on this thread. I don't know who has the time to be on here 24/7 and post during every game like they do. My God, I don't even watch the damn games anymore let alone have time to post during them.

There is only one reason why SMACKDOWN has about 200,000 views on this thread and that is because the guy knows what he is doing. No one is perfect on the forum, but most people follow those who they believe can be more successful on picking games. He lost the last two picks and its really no big deal. He comes back on Thursday and makes a selection and you either place it or fade him, either way you and only you make the final decision to make the play. We are gambling people, and no one should ever wager what they cant afford. It's really sad that people cant seem to get it. Instead of all the negativity lets talk football and lets talk picks. Come thursday, we will all be excited again and hopefully we can hit the winner. I STILL TRUST SMACKDOWN for his NFL Picks.

and this isnt a long term thread, its 2 months old. sometimes its better to be lucky than good... and from the sound of things when the post started it was better to be lucky and now is a time to be good.

I think that is perfectly reasonable as long as people don't follow his unit recommendations (when there are such recommendations). Of course we should cut Smack a break when he has a few bad picks, as everybody does. His strong early capping is why this thread ended up with 200+ pages in the first place. I'm sure he can eventually get back on track if he wants to put in the work. But I can certainly do without the "I am Legend" shit.

Paco's thread on my sports. i have always respected the fact that he never chases and doesn't throw out 200 unit plays just to keep his numbers up. i havent' been there in a week so i hope its still all good.

The last 2 posts says a lot about most people who gamble. HilltopTony I agree 100% and have been saying it for years. I saw it raising my 2 sons. They all want instant gratifying results and they want it handed to them.

Gambling on sports is all about staying power and if you don't have it then this thread aint for you. There is no magic, no system, it's just the law of averages. If a 10 unit play doesn't hit at 12 noon then the 4 O'Clocker is a 20 unit play. If the 4 O'Clock game loses then the 8 PM game is a 60 unit bet and so on. It's like betting on roulette at a casino. Just bet black and keep doubling, tripling, quadrupling etc until black hits. You people want to vilify and berate Smack for this? You're fools who deserve to lose. I admire his cojones.

funny stuff. i could sell this method to people and be very persuasive and get people to quit their jobs thinking this was true and that they could make a living doing this method...

wrong. it's called the martingale system of betting. been done since hundreds of years ago. and it's the quickest way to lose ur bankroll. there is no system of betting that is guaranteed to make money. all systems will fail long term. with that said, u do not want to bet big because after a few straight losses ur bankroll will disappear.

side note: after doing 70~ bets, there's a 50~% chance u will have had a 6 loss streak or more. imagine using martingale on a 6 loss streak. if ur bankroll can even last 6 losses in a row. example: first bet of 100. loss. 200. loss. 400. loss. 800. loss. 1600. loss. 3200. loss.

Hate to use clichés especially this worn out one but it's a marathon not a sprint. If you gamble like it's a 100 meter dash you'll be reloading constantly.
