Something fishy about this line. The Chargers swept their two meetings with Kansas City last year, winning by a combined score of 80-21. But tonight they’re only being asked to win by six points or so.

You know the saying, “where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire”.

I believe there is a fire and it’s burning in Kansas City’s favor.

This is the Chiefs’ lone prime-time appearance and you can bet Arrowhead will be rocking.

There’s also a new offensive coordinator in town in Charlie Weis and I expect him to help quarterback Matt Cassel out tremendously.

San Diego coach Norv Turner is 5-7 SU and 4-8 ATS in season openers, including an anemic 0-4 SUATS against division foes.

Take the points with the Chiefs as they stay within the number.

I love to hear that. I cashed a small play yesterday on Red Skins ML. I don't care how they won. All I know is that every team will win some of their home games and I'm not a seer to know which ones they'll win. So I'll take a chance here. The "new-look" Chargers haven't proved anything yet. This may eventually end up like the 49ers/Seahawks game!

As for the Chiefs game, this is my take:

SD is a notorious slow starting team.
KC is this year's breakout team....love what they have done with their coaching and personnel decisions.
P.Rivers is going to lack protection w/o LT & McNeill
SD Offense will lack a downfield attack.
KC is young and explosive on both sides of the ball.
The only televised home game for KC this year = raucous crowd (see Washington last night)

KC +4 (2u)
