#4623Hell LB, you posted the O/U numbers for the season -- it's a joke. College was worse. Books haven't adjusted to this trend for whatever reason.Comment -

i dont see it going to that point. i do think it is hard to bet the under because it looks so easy with these defenses.Comment -

plus this is in a dome. that total seems pretty sharp to me. i would think the under looks pretty solid too but i thought under was so easy in the pit/jets game- freezing weather, two running teams, and the two best defenses. basically my under was ruined by an out-of-the-blue defensive td. what about the baltimore pit game. that game was all defense- teams couldn't run or pass barely (except for the last 2 minutes) and the total still went what over 55 solely because of the defensesComment -

#4633last time these two played it was very very high scoring. as good as you guys think the steelers defense is, Rogers will expose them through the air. I'm not sure how many points gb will score but rogers will throw 2 tds for sure. Look what the Saints and New england did to pitsburgh's secondary. Sanchez exposed the steelers secondary in the second half in their own building. starks is a physical playmaker out of the backfield and quick too.

Some good points, however you seem to give Rogers to much credit. Remember packers played in the nfc which is not the afc.Comment -

The Steelers offense was completely shut out in the second half in their own building. The Jets could have easily won that game if they brought some efffort in the first half. Frankly, the Steelers offense is really not that good at all. Their O line is banged up and with the blittz packages GB brings defensively- they are not the jets- they ahve a CB in woodson that blitzes off the edges very frequently and he doesn't miss tackles like the jets guys do. guys like hawk and mathews and barnett- these goes do not let power-backs like mendelhall break tackles. I think Woodson will be a huge difference maker in this game and will come up with a huge turnover and maybe even take it back to the house- him and Darren Sharper have a knack for doing that in big games
The fact is the Steelers were very lucky to beat the Ravens and the Jets. And it's not as if they got lucky plays (like the Saints of last year did), the opposing team just killed themselves. GB seems destined to win the bowl- everyone is talking about PIts experience but I think thats exactly why they are a bad play. If Pit is so experienced why would GB open as the favorite?Comment -

excellent post goatmilk! I couldn't agree more. I think GB get 28+ pts on the turf with those horses and rodgers airing it out.Comment -

#4637yes afc is better but packers have won in some of the toughest places in the nfl to play: first in philly, then in atl (dome), then in chicago. Rogers is top 5 (roth is better in these situations) but i don't think we'll see any nerves from Rogers. He's not a young gun and GB's squad is filled with veterans that want to win. This really doesn't feel like the Steelers year to win it. Pit is 6-1 all time in SB games and I think that will be 6-2 after this year. Roth has won the only 2 times he's ever been to the dance- he's going to be 3/3? I doubt it.

If I said I agreed with you why would I be on Pitt? You may not like me and I am fine with that, but I am not dumb.. Pitt will get bounced and its not that close. Gb probably wins by exactly 3 though as I can see big ben marching Pitt down the field down 10 to get the garbage TD inside of 2 minutes on the prevent defense. Just like so many other NFL games...Comment -

#4640Pimike the power has shifted to the nfc. It happened in last years superbowl. The steelers are the only team that can win out of the afc cause they are so physical but the nfc has finesse/speed/ strength. The. Steelers defense wasn't good on the road this year versus anyone good. Its vert hard to bet against the steelers because the refs will keep them in the game. I'm fading them for the third straight week and hoping the third time is a charm. The fact that gb is favored in this game is completely retarded and that's why I'm taking them. And believe it or not gb has a better defense than the steelers. Also rodgers will expose the pittsburgh linebackers because of his quick release and deadly accurate arm. Don't look too much into the bears game because the bears give gb a hard game all the time and are used to him. Pittsburgh will lose by a fg. Hence the 2.5 line.Comment -
