If you're getting 17-to-1 on the play you've got to hedge. You can get Packers +3.5 for example at -260 at the Greek. It's a little chalky but it reduces your risk to none if the Bears don't cover, and if they somehow do you're still up 14.4.

-Chicago has failed to cover the last four consecutive head-to-head showdowns against Green Bay and the Bears are a rotten 5-11-1 ATS as underdogs since the start of the 2008 season. Meanwhile, Green Bay's a healthy 9-1-1 spreadwise in its last 11 games overall dating back to the middle of last year and the Packers are 17-7 vig-wise in divisional duels the past four-plus seasons.

What's the play tonite? I see around 2/3 or 70% of the bets on G.B. tonite and the books seem to be enticing more action on G.B... Home dog on MNF angle is strong, but I am not sure I trust Cutler with anything more than my sugar money at the moment. Top that off with Chicago's offense line seems to be a make shift unit allowing alot of pressure on Cutler who is prone to throw interceptions. Cutler to this point has been very good as evidenced by his stats, but is he for real? Is Mike Martz the savior for him? I guess we will know after tonite. I know one thing... Some deep pockets are liking Chicago at home tonite.

Last week NFL pups registered a 10-5-1 ATS (against the spread) mark and the Sunday Week #3 results showed that Underdogs were 10-5 spreadwise with the Monday Night Football game this evening between Green Bay at Chicago the lone remaining result to be calculated before we flip the NFL calendar page to October.
In all, there were an astounding seven outright underdog winners on Sunday: The roll call included Tennessee, Atlanta Kansas City, Dallas, St. Louis, Seattle and the NY Jets all won "the whole game" while gobbling up points and so, if anything, that tells us that the level of competition is even closer than you would have thought entering this 2010 campaign -it also tells you that a few "Cinderella" teams such as the Chiefs and the Seahawks could be playoff contenders when most folks thought they needed to learn how to crawl before they learned how to run!
