It is statements like this that show hoe UNDERrated the Bengals really are. But that's OK, let people keep calling them overrated until I cash my Cincinnati +1015 to win AFC ticket.

Bengals played well versus good teams last year because no one took them seriously. Now everyone is aware of what they can bring to the table. Benson had a good year to get a contract. Ochocinco is an idiot. Palmer is one of the most overrated QB's in the NFL. Benglas wont even make the playoffs, not sure why you wasted money on that ticket.

This one is a no brainer for me. The Bengals had a good year and are getting too much respect here. The pats are gonna lay the hammer down and beat them by more than enough to cover the spread. Terrell Owens presence means nothing imo in this game. Pats will give him his little catch here and there but Brady is going to pick apart that Cincy defense play by play. Pats will be determined to get off to a good start at home this year after the debacle versus the Ravens last playoffs. Bengals will pick up where they left off last year in the playoffs. It seems like a square play but i really believe its an easy winner. Reminds me a alot of the game last year when the Falcons came into town and i told everyone here to take the Pats -4.5 and most laughed.

Once the Pats face a good pass rushing team, I see Brady being carted off the field again. As for tomorrow, the Pats secondary is gonna be lost trying to cover Ocho Stinko, TO, and watch out for Shipley. He is a younger and stronger version of Welker. I'm not a Bengals fan, but I saw them live in the pre-season and they have some weapons. Benson might be the leading rusher after week one. Pats have not upgraded and their D is horrid. Hell, their starters played 3 qtrs against the Rams and got torched by a QB still in diapers. Pats o-line is not as good as it once was either and as much as Brady is gonna have to drop back this year, he is gonna be screwed I think.

agree with this as their secondary is very young and they are especially weak on the outside but they do have plenty of speed.

Benson is still a power runner, right? If he's running up the middle, Wilfork, Mayo and Spikes should be enough to make sure that is not the case.

Not sure how the Bengals will stop the Pats when they go 4 wr. The new TE's should help with the RZ problems they had last year and draw attention away from Moss. If it's a shoot out, I gotta like Brady at home.

I think Cincy will be ok on defense and hold their own against the Pats offense. Cincy will get some stops and the Pats will score some points. The unknown is what are we gone get from the Cincy offense or what are we gone get from the Pats defense.

posted a similar post a couple weeks back LB. I was praying for a good pre season from the bengals and I got it. Line went from 6.5 for 4.5 because of the overhyped combo of to and ochocinco, both of which are EXTREMELY over-rated. good call and go pats, 31-3 as we speak
