Slacker very good points although I did have the Vikings going 1-3 and not 0-4. Once again it is just my opinion, I kinda feel the Vikings peaked last year..sorry to the Vike fans hear. As far as those for games he again and a bit in more detail is why i feel the way I do.

Week 12 on the road at Fed Ex Field. The Skins will be coming home after a tough game at the TITANS. I think the home field advantage will play a big factor. Also the Vikings would have just beaten (I believe) the Packers at home and anyone who bets football knows most of the time (70%) or so a big let down follows.

I don't think Philly is as bad as you do, I have the utmost confidence in Kolb. I know his agent via a investigation at my work and we spoke at length about him 2 years ago when McNabb got bench mid season. His agent told me then that management loved him and guaranteed me he was going to be the start the next year. Well it took a year longer but he is the starter.
Also this game is late in the season and Farve although he is used to cold weather is older and the length of the season will be wearing on him at this point.

So I got 3-1 in the EAST. The redskin game is a toss up, I just have a feeling if they beat GB they loose to the Skins.

ITS JUST A PREDICTION though we all know this I just find it fun to put it down on paper and check it at the end of the year.

Looking closely at the Vikings Schedule I am really trying to be optimistic to say they win 11 games.

I will break it down in my thoughts below.

A) Incredibly Tough Road Schedule
B) Farve's ankle injury
C) Missing Percy Harvin (I don't want to jump to conclusions, its very sad, but I think his career is in major jeopardy) I said last year to a bunch of friends that I believed it was over.

Now lets look at their schedule.

When you mean peaked what do you mean by that i am not a viking fan but until ateam loses how can you tell they peaked is there some stat your looking at playing the super bowl champs to a field goal in there park is that peaking beating dallas who was never in the game with the vikings did that make them peak..... LVBound, I highly doubt the way they do over/unders in vegas is to go through the schedule and say "win, loss, loss, win". That being said, they'll probably win a couple of the games you have as losses (I could see 2-2 in the NFC East) and lose a couple of the wins (like at Chi).

Sidney Rice has a hip problem, Harvin is probably done, Favre will probably be out by week 8 with all those nasty defenses early in the year. IF this team stays healthy by some miracle, 10-6 to 8-8 is probably the Vikings range. Even then, with the early bye, Favre will be exhausted by seasons end, and we can expect to see a big slide weeks 12-17.

Favre's ego wasn't in check last year and is not this year; the Vikes were good last year on the strength of an unusually incredible year last year.

He is replicating none of the numbers he posted last year; add in the fact that they won 12 games last year 6 of those came vs Det(x2), Cle, Sea, StL & Chi who were a combined - 22-74 and two games they won by luck ( SF and Balt)

I agree that the Vike are at 9-7 or 8-8 team this year. (and I dont think they make the playoffs)

His receiver corps is banged up, his ankle is banged up, and he's not playing nearly as easy a schedule. One game where a defense really really gets after him and he is done. They should win all of their home games and I see at least 3 wins on the road. One thing you neglected to mention is that Favre has had his way with Dom Capers defenses and I don't see this changing. Green Bay is probably the most over-rated team I've seen and I live here, their schedule was even easier than Minnesotas last year and remember they lost to Tampa.

Favre can be criticized for his character, to some extent, or a few bad passes here and there but his durability has never been in doubt. Favre is arguably the most durable player in NFL history. If he can buckle his chin strap, he'll be in the huddle. Heck, he finished one year with a broken thumb on his throwing hand, right? Unless it's a compound fracture with the bone sticking out, he'll be there on Sunday.

Your right he would have throw a whopping 11.5 interceptions in 16 games. His passer rating was still his best ever, so the stat is not misleading. Elway's last year was very similar to Farve's.

Farve does not miss games and their schedule is the same as Green Bay. If you want to talk about coming back to earth you need to look at the turnover margin of Green Bay. They will NOT be +24 again and will suffer from it.

i'm a die hard vikings fan for 40 plus years and follow ever move the vikings make.. the keys to the vikes in 2010 will be O line play and DBs.. the O line needs to do a better job of pass protection and run blocking and if Chris Cook the vikes rookie DB can start.. then look for the vikes to win the div.. the best strategy might be to see after 6 weeks if Vikes are within a game of GB of the Div.. then bet the vikes to win the Div.. the vikes last 1/2 of the schedule is a lot softer than GBs... if vikes are 2 or 3 games behind then it might be to muck to make up...

NYJ, PHI, WSH & DAL were the games that stuck out in my mind after seeing the initial post. All very winnable. To sell this MIN team short is a big mistake imho but I like your analysis. I see them matching up well vs WSH and PHI, I think the NYJ game will come down to the wire and the DAL game I just dont see the Boys havidng their way with the Vikes.

Every single year, there's always one teams that exceeds the previous year expectation and falter the next year. Example would be the 2007 Cowboys that went 13-3 and expected a walkin for the superbowl. In 2008, they finish 8-8.
