SD is not nearly as good as people think they are. That defense is extremely suspect. Ever since Merriman got suspended, the pass rush has been non-existent. This isn't the Chargers team from 2-3 years ago.[B][B]They key isn't getting rich quick. The key is getting rich slowly, and enjoying it.

Uhm, LT was done and we could not keep him around just because he was/is a legend. As much as I love the guy, and as much as I appreciate what he has done for the community of San Diego and the Chargers, he no longer had a fit on this football team. Don't act like you were butthurt cause the Chargers released LT, I'm sure I took it a LOT harder than you. Tomlinson is still a great running back. He isn't washed up by any stretch. The guy takes more carries than Greene. Ryan Mathews is not an amazing running back. He will never fill LTs shoes. There is now a huge leadership gap missing on the Chargers. Everyone on that team respected LT. WHen he spoke, everyone listened.
Gates admired LT more than anyone. I'm telling you the chargers will not ever do shit with Rivers as their quarterback. Rivers will never win a ring. You need an emotional guy like Rivers to lead your club, but you need a guy like LT that can keep you cool when it matters. Plus having Norv doesn't help- easily one of the worst HC in all of football.
Chargers never even should have been a contender a few years ago. Their defense has always been average with just a good offense. The only reason they were ever a contender is because of LT. Goat you know I'm an LT fan and I still think he has some left in the tank given a decent offensive line. But this is a young man's game. He is on the downside and in order to stay ahead in this league, you need to recognize when players have reached that point. What did he do the last two seasons to make you think they should have kept him? He's in a great situation in New York now but his time was done in San Diego. Don't even respond to Goat Milk, he's a troll. As a San Diego fan who has watched every snap for the past 22 or so years, Ladainian Tomlinson IS Chargers Football. He was not disrespected at any point; he took a pay cut to be here last year and we obliged by running the football. This team has no time to run the football anymore.
