In preseason the coaches (preseason) record is important. This is mainly due to the mentality the coaches go into the game with. Some coaches feel these games are just an audition for backup players. This mentality also is appearent by the way the offense is orchestrated. Does the team open up the playbook or run a straight forward attack. Does the team leave role players in the game or pull starters after 1 possesion. Does the team attack opponents weaknesses or evaluate his players ability to step up at their position. etc. some teams feel preseason can create a motivational edge going into regular season and some teams feel this is a glorified scrimmage.Comment -
