Excuse me if I sound like a homer, but I don't think "rebuilding" is the right word for the Eagles. They cut a lot of dead weight, underachievers, and guys past their prime. In return, they added a few good free agents, and have two big pieces of the defense returning from injury in Stewart Bradley (aka the heart and soul of the D) and Ellis Hobbs.
If you're all relying on the absence of McNabb, his numbers last year were not that impressive, ranking 12th in passer rating despite playmakers at every position. If Kolb is a downgrade at all, It's not enough to take the 11-5 eagles down to 8-8.
The only way the Eagles are going under is if they get badly bitten by the injury bug again or it turns out Andy Reid suddenly lost his ability to evaluate talent and Kolb sucks.
