Sure, he played two games and did solid in both but he still threw three picks in the Saints game and then tore up a bad KC team. So really how can we know what this kid is made of? McNabb makes that team in my opinion and without him I think it may be rough on the Eagles. McNabb made all of his receivers better then they were. Guys like Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchell, James Thrash, etc he made all these guys better then they were. I just don't know if with Kevin Kolb as your starter you can look at DeSean Jackson and the rest of the guys with the same confidence.
If you're just looking at box scores the Philly fans who are hating on McNabb and touting Kolb look insane. If you watched that Saints game, 2 of the picks came after the outcome was decided and it was pretty much hail mary time. Also the passes he did complete were right on the money and gave the receivers much greater opportunity for YAC than McNabb does. There were several plays where Kolb really wowed me in the New Orleans game. He put up more points than Peyton Manning did against the Champs.

Many scouts also think Kolb's accuracy is much higher than McNabb's. He may or may not be an immediate improvement, but like Sanchez or Flacco he made some really impressive throws and is going to get better over the last five years as McNabb regresses.

I think our only shot at a championship in the next five years is with Kolb, unless McNabb sticks around and all the trade rumors finally light a fire under his ass THIS YEAR.

The Eagirls are competing for last place in the NFC EAST when they trade Mcnabb. I have no idea how dumb some of you eagle fans who would
be happy to unload mcnabb n let kolb start. The guy played the chiefs n saints 2 terrible defenses and got over 300 yards because he threw it so much cmn when teams get to see tape on this guy he will be shutdown
n his wrs n tes will be so pissed that hes starting and they got rid of
          mcnabb.
We all know My Cowboys are going to win the Superbowl its a lock with The GREAT ROMO leasing them to shutup the haters. Then Felix the Cat is going to get his opportunity finally by sorry Jason Garret to break them long runs n burn everyone to the endzone. Big Wade will lead the D to be a top 3 in the NFL. The Off is only going to get better with all 3 rbs being ready n healthy N Roy n Romo getting on track together n hopefully the addition of Golden Tate and some good fat boys to block for Romo.
So know this everyone the Cowboys will be playing the Superbowl guaranteed

considering donnies lack of leadership contract etc and he lost respect from the young studs on offense because he always throws them under bus and its never his fault it was time to move on ...11 yrs no sb wins and was favored in 3 of the nfc title games and still choked

Mcnabb has never won a superbowl, he is a good quarterback, but kolb looked like he is ready to take over. He looks like he is ready to start. Mcnabb is getting old, going to start to go downhill. Not everyone can keep playing like favre.

The Eagles are dumb. They trade him to the Skins? They know they take one of the teams whose future looked meaningless without a QB and immediatley take them up a few notches right? I mean you know McNabb is going to bring the corpse of Santana Moss back to life. They got a 2nd this year and a 3rd or a 4th next year? Sweet deal Eagles!

I mean let me clarify this. For the future I guess it is a good move. Kolb, McCoy, Jackson is a good offensive core POTENTIALLY. But, for right now they will be last in the NFC East. They have the worst QB and RB in the division.

                            * Total salaries of players traded on each side have to be within 10% of each other, or something quite similar to this. I forget how it works with draft picks, exactly.
                            * Limits on individual player salary, including particularly low ones for the first few years a player is drafted.
                            * Teams can only trade away so many draft picks in one deal.
                            * After a few years, teams are allowed to offer players the highest salary that can't be matched by another team (something to this effect).

Might be others. I read through some copy of the rules related to this; it was lengthy, complicated, and suggests these NBA executives need better things to do. Anyway, so the matching salaries is important because certain top players who are getting below market value because of salary limits, especially if they're in the early years of their career. Add the other factors results in teams generally not wanting to trade their good players away, other teams having a lot of trouble getting better, and great players getting an optimal situation.

Two sacks of stupid stand out to me here: the luck/fate involved in acquiring talent, and the idea of keeping players on their current team when the NBA is the only pro sport where players have mostly the same stats every year, except when they have a different supporting cast. Think if Steve Nash never went to Phoenix; we'd never know that he could be a god of a point guard with a bunch of fast shooters.

They drafted Kolb to replace McNabb. Kolb is entering the final year of his rookie contract. They have to see if he can cut it. Same situation the Packers were in with Rodgers.

Another moronic post by another idiotic Cowboys fan. Dallas is sh** in the playoffs. Romo sticks. The whole team folds up like a cheap tent. They have won 1 playoff game in 15 years. Cowboy fans are the most ignorant and fool hearty fans there are. I will guarantee you this. Kolb,Jackson,Celek,Maclin,Mccoy are the future of the eagles why not let them grow together!!!
Kolb was the only QB ever to throw for 300+ yards in their first 2 starting games Mcnabb only threw over 300+ 3 times all season!!!
The Eagles won't be in last place from this move but it could set them back a year or 2 maybe.
The eagles will be in better shape in the long run by doing this and I wouldn't be surprized if they make the playoffs again this year most likely a wild card spot.
Will see what happens but the future of the eagles looks brighter now!!!

This move was obvious. The Eagles are rebuilding and have been grooming Kolb all along. The time is now, similar to the Packers situation with Rodgers.
