Good thread, nobs. I agree that SD can catch Den. If they did it last year, it can happen again, no doubt.

But, as is typical with futures, you'd have been better off simply playing the MLs. Parlaying Balt ML with SD ML last week is better than SD +550 last week with Den -300 this week.

San Diego won a big one yesterday and they are on a roll right now. I didn't think they could catch Denver but now they just might. Your right them Bronco lovers are nowhere to be found nobs. They do play tonight and that could be a good game tonight. I do expect it to be a close game.

My book has the Chargers right now at +175, and Broncos at -225. I should have jumped on that Chargers +550. Oh well, we'll see what happens with the odds after today's game.

Broncos offense looks like shit - they havent scored an offensive TD in either of these last 2 games. Managed only 1 Field Goal each game. 3 points on offense both games.

I just came across this thread today and I have to give you kudos for your analysis of the AFC West.

Not only did I agree with you completely about your +550 but I bet accordingly though I couldn't find San Diego @ +550.

I bet a small amount (by my standards) at +490 though I tried to get filled for a much larger amount.

Over the course of last week, I bought a serious chunk of San Diego (sold Denver as well) between +250 and +320.

However, now I believe the correct thing to do is buy Denver/sell San Diego around -130 as the schedule down the stretch heavily favors Denver. Denver just got through with the 5 game schedule from hell including playing Dallas/New England/San Diego/Baltimore/Pittsburgh.

If Denver beats San Diego in 2 weeks, the division is pretty much over. If San Diego beats Denver (and I think they will), then the 2 teams will be tied with 6 weeks to go (assuming Denver still leads by 1 game after this week).

By the way, Denver won't be -200 ML against San Diego. The line for this game will be -3 MAXIMUM and probably less so the money line figures to be -150 or less.

You are the only one being stubborn here. You were wrong. Plain and simple. I said in the first post in this thread.

Dont doubt this fact --- the Broncos will lose to both those teams and 2 weeks from now it will be Broncos 6-2 Chargers 5-3 and then that +550 is going to look like Gold. If you're a chicken you can then buy back Denver to win the Afc West at probably -150. How does a +550 -150 scalp feel ?
