up late smokin some dank
just rolled a nice a joint with a wax snake on it.. listenin to music..
heres a few thoughts for the championship game
New England @ Denver topics
*half wont agree with me.. but Denvers performance today as a whole was pretty damn good. some dropped passes, i could nit pick and say the balls weren't perfect spirals.. but peyton's timing was on point, he wasn't timid like he usually is.. it was his first full game back and i cant be mad at his performance.. Denver's running game has improved exponentially since the beginning of the season.. those interchangeable backs bring a different tempo to the game and gives/gave denver a slight edge in the running game.
*i don't give a shit what any of you say.. big ben was never really hurt.. he threw a freakin 40 yard bomb for the first play of the damn game.. that throw was kinda like a warning to the defense saying " hey motherfukkers, im not really as hurt as i portayed in the media so you better be get ready for these big ben bombs" ..
*lemme get closer to my point (sorry this joint is dank) .. Denver's defense held a high powered Pittsburgh offense to 16 points.. 16!! Pittsburgh arguably has one of the best receiving cores in the game.. ive never seen a team with so many WR weapons other than Arizona..
*so ok, if Denver has the best defense in the league and they held the best receiving core in the league to 16 points, what do you think denvers defense is gonna do against a barely above average NE receiving core?? straight lock down. id put Pittsburgh receiving core over NE's receiving core any day.. and i hate to cap the game with such a weird angle but its a solid point if you are open minded and not a brady homer..
*NE's O-line, SHOT.
*NE's running game is non-existent
*Tom brady hasn't faced a good pass rush and secondary realistically SINCE week 12 when they first faced each other in denver..
*Edelman is stoppable. Chris Harris Jr should fit right nice with Edelman in coverage.
*Gronk can be slowed down. Talib is savage. im sure he wont shy away from giving gronk a hard time in coverage.
*tom brady is a hell of a QB, last week against Kansas city's broken ass defense brady looked fantastic.. not to take anything away from the legend but kansas was a cakewalk into the championship for NE. Kansas city wasn't pressuring brady enough so you didn't get to see how brady plays with the pocket constantly flooding.. brady can be clutch but the formula to beating brady is a good front 4 and an awesome secondary.. which denver has. Denver has the formula to beat the patriots and or atleast keep it close.
*you cant excessively pass the ball on denver. you have to mix in the run to open up the passing game against a defense like denvers. which NE doesn't have. their running game has been shot to shit ever since the starters went down with injuries. you cant expect to just pass your way to a victory i don't care what QB is under center. that's not how this game works.. When NE faced Kansas city last week, before the 2nd half NE had 22 plays called and 21 of them were PASSING.. WHAT THE HELL. THAT IS A FORMULA FOR FAILURE. THAT WILL NOT FLY AGAINST DENVER. IT JUST WONT. it just happened to be efficient against a flimsy Kansas city defense. i like my odds of an early interception/turnover if brady comes in this game thinking he is going to just sling the ball all over the field..
*i see this 2nd meeting being nearly identical to the first meeting they had in week 12 at denver.. somewhat high scoring and will come down to the nitty gritty.. i feel like a BIG turnover will be a deciding factor of this. We'll see what side of the ball denver ends up on late in the 4th.. i can see denvers defense keeping them in the game, NE could very well win this but it could be a clincher..
its too early to really post strong leans or official picks these are just points and thoughts on the matchup.. im still crunchin numbers and reading into it.. ill have a solid lean and official posted later in the week..

I'm not even going to pretend to like either side in this Denver/NE match up.. we can talk about each teams do's and donts all day but when it comes to finalizing a pick on a side I'm not even going to act like I truly know the right pick... brady could fall, Denver defense could rise.. vice versa...
but what I do know is, this game will start out slow, methodical.. both coaches getting a feel for each to see whos running what defense/offense.. trying to find the run game, of course a few big shots down field but how many successful ones early in the game? brady and peyton are going to dink & dunk here and there to get up field and hope to get in field goal range when they first come out. these are 2 teams that will take field goals all game and be completely fine with it. both teams will come out conservative which leads to minimal scoring..
I believe this 1H goes under the total. it was 22.5 but I see its moved down a point or so.. i moved it up to 23 for some cushion but i strongly think tom nor peyton comes out tomorrow afternoon and runs the score up..
NE/Denver 1H under 23 2u
Playoffs 3-4-1
NFL record 50-34

I'm done thinking too much when it comes this damn NE/Denver match up.
NE -3
its brady man, #1 QB in the league going against a legend you don't really know how will truly perform. This is a no brainer, call me a square or a joe cause i don't care. this is the only only time i will go with my heart and feel confident about it, should be a good game.
NE/Denver under 23 1H
Patriots -3

wow i just crumbled up this write up and kobe'd it into my trash can. twas the complete opposite. peyton came out swingin for the fences & lot of big penalty plays put them in good spots to score touchdowns.. guess i didn't add in the factor of the refs. sheesh.

should've stuck where i initially was leaning but by gametime i was convinced brady could get this win.. it sucks when initially you were right but jump offsides.. it happens. not even going to try the AZ/Carolina game. and not even attempt the superbowl. ill just get drunk and watch lol. learned a lot of good things this year as a whole and will put them to use next season. into college basketball full steam ahead!

1. not even going to entertain this game..
2. I don't wager for thrills lol.. theres too much good college basketball on to waste it on a football game that I have no clue wins..
BUT I will be shitfaced watching.... I have doubted cam all season and of course with ease he exceeded my expectations and some! but if I were to lean anywhere it would be Denver and the pts.. but goodluck on your wagers my SBR folk!

50-35 NFL record a little over +14
Playoffs 3-4-1 (didn't do as hot as I planned in playoffs)
whats up git lo! I did well this season man! surprisingly.. but I put in a lot of work to make the logical, valuable picks.. shit got shaky at times.. I also caved on some decisions which often messed up my mojo.. but you make mistakes and ya learn right? but I felt like I coudlve did better and capitalized more on some key points during the season like the (thanksgiving day games, the SNF & MNF TNF games) but that's me nit picking..
my strategy this year was just to be conservative and be opened minded as possible.. some of the weeks i wasn't as conservative as I had planned to be cause sometimes I did get trigger happy cause I got on some hot streaks.. although it did work out for me, i don't recommend having a big card.. playing aggressive could put you out.. but normally 1-2 solid picks is great rather you win or lose cause you save bankroll and if you are doing your due diligence you should be able to pick 1 to 2 winners each sunday out of 13 or 14 game card.. a little P.O.E should suffice lol
and by open minded I mean GETTING points vs LAYING the pts.. there were weeks where it was an underdog week, and there were weeks where it was a big favorite week..
I became more aware of when those weeks were occurring so I was able to get in a groove. however, it did get real switchy.. so I had to switch my trend up a little to roll with how things were going.. cause sometimes the -10 or -11 point favorite was the best pick on the card so things got confusing at moments..
browns +4 @ home vs Denver
Steelers +3 & ML with vick @ home vs san diego
San Francisco PK @ home with blaine gabbert
Rams +14 vs seahawks
Bears +7 in Greenbay
also a big part of my strategy this year was to be FEARLESS! the picks I posted above is what I call being fearless lol cause not everybody would make picks like these.. you cant be afraid to make picks like the ones above.. its all about doing your research and numbers and believing you did your due diligence. don't be afraid to bet against the top 5 or top 10 teams.. they have faults and bad matchups too.. I have some tweaking to do to my strategy but next season should be just as interesting!
I also wish I would've followed the trends more and longer... most of the trends were clear as day especially during the middle of the season, I just was afraid to pull the trigger.. cause ya know trends usually don't last long but some of the trends this season lasted a fairly long time.. if I would've rode those trends out till they stopped I would be up +25 or 30u easy.. but I'm always afraid of hopping on the wave too late and getting on when its time to get off so good judgement is key..
dude this shit was fun to chat with friends and you SBR folk about picks and sharing significant information with each other.. I learn something from you and you learn something from me.. that's the formula to a good relationship lol.. and I'm not talking about everyone on this forum, cause alot of these dudes on here suck ass and just troll and talk shit.. but the few who I do follow and pay attention to I respect cause they have fun with it while also taking it serious!

Got shit Jay. I feel like I adopted of what you are saying to this year as well, I swear if you didn't take risks and bet underdogs this year you probably lost a lot by the end of the season. Tampa bay were prob always underdogs but beat the falcons (when they were rolling) and kept it close or beat other good teams as well. I completely agree on not being aggressive on big cards, this applies to the NBA as well and one of the better skills to have. Even weeks with big cards sometimes there was not one spread I liked but I played totals and hit those no problem actually it was weird observation I made that I've never seen. It sounds like your good at picking spots too which is very difficult, keep up the good work!
