When people say its a sucker bet they are evaluating it over the long haul...not on an individual basis. Over the long haul you will lose with teasers. Simple: Unlike having to lay -110 on a Straight Bet, where the house edge is 4.5%...on a TEASER, you are aksed to lay between -120 & -130, depending on the amount of points you wish to grab. Over time the vig will catch up with you because all the games you are betting are not ALL going to fall in the 6 point range you are buying.

Relax dad. I was simply urging Tom the Tooter to provide some analysis to accompany his pick so we could get a glimpse into the mind of a genius. It's an opportunity to pick the brain of one of the best and I wasn't about to let that slip away. It turns out that he never even picked Broncos -6.5. This was eventually brought to my attention at the behest of some shrewd, insightful Tooter disciples. Where would we be without them?

Well anyways, the misunderstanding is clearly the result of some clerical error or technical glitch. But hey, it happens. These fancy computer websites with all their microwave outputs and such are prone to some occasional hiccups. We take the good, with the bad, all in stride out here in cyberspace.

Thankfully, that debacle is now behind us and we can concentrate on the reality of the fact that Tooter clutched his tallywhacker all weekend long, right up until gametime, only to splurge forth some two-bit teaser in anticlimactic fashion. I think his fans expected more, as well as his detractors. But alas, it is what it is. I'm just afraid it won't end well. I have a feeling the 49ers win the game.
