Arizona -2 Wish I could have caught it when they were getting points. However, I see the public still riding the luck train. I see that he gets up for the top teams then he is mediocre against mediocre competition. Plus the absence of Wayne has really shown how much he relied on this guy. TY Hilton is hit or miss. Against Arizona I think he will miss. Peterson and the Rookie of the Month don't have to worry about multiple threats. Fleener is their only threat. He won't do much to influence the outcome of this game. And where is the running game? Joe Public is riding the coattails of a number 1 pick who has not been scrutinized like his cohorts in Washington and San Francisco. Palmer is serviceable only because Fitzgerald gives him a legitimate target. The key to their offense is Ellington. I don't think the Colts will have an answer for him. The Colts will be on the field a heck of alot. Joe Public always chooses sexy. I choose defense especially when there is no threat of a running game, meaning the secondary does not have to play the run or commit to it. As long as Palmer does not turn the ball over more than 2 times I see the Cardinals making that playoff run.

I really like Atlanta in this one but this game has too many ways it can go. Atlanta will play hard. They are very well coached and they have pride. Too bad the brass went sexy in the offseason instead of shoring up the offensive line and having adequate backups in case of injuries. That they did not do so they suffered dearly with mediocre backups replacing future hall of famers and studs. Hey, I guess after a few years of being close they did not consider the injury factor. Anyway, Atlanta has played well recently because they are a good organization that will always right themselves. They play hard tonight and show the public that this was just a fluke of a season.
On the other hand, San Fran can go ballistic and put this game out of reach by halftime. Yes, they can. Will they? That is the $20,000 question. Frank Gore needs some rest. Of course they can deploy him at will and he can shine with 75% effort against the Falcons. I really do not think that San Fran will. I think they will give him a rest throughout this game. San Fran knows they can win this game with a B game plan. Will they? Who knows.
Too many questions to be answered in this one because we do not know how San Fran or Atlanta will take this game. Too many variables for a game that has two teams that can have different outlooks from quarter to quarter.
If I did play this game I would take Atlanta and the under. I hope San Fran lays off because I am up in a fantasy championship game by 15 points and my opponent has Gore and San Fran's defense. It is a long shot for me to win but if San Fran rests Gore and allows Atlanta to score and stick around I just may pull it out.
Atlanta and my fantasy team. Riding the underdogs. Now you see why I am not playing this one. Good luck to those who have the balls to test the many situations being played in this contest!

That is why I am backing them. Just because the Saints are home they should be favored by more. So Vegas is telling me that at home the Saints are only ten points better than Tampa Bay? That is minus the 3-4 pt homefield advantage. That is because it is true. Tampa Bay will play hard and try to play spoiler. Vegas made the spread enticing to Joe Public. I am not falling for it. That 1 point difference from reaching a 2 TD spread detracts a lot of people from taking TB. I am not falling for it. I have been wrong before but I am riding the logic I used all year. I try to read and think what is going on in the heads of the oddsmakers and the public.

La cara, also if you have been paying attention the media has been making a big deal about the tale of two teams. It is a known fact that New Orleans scores 18 more points at home on the average. So this Tampa team compares to some of the teams that got beat up in the Benz Dome? In the public eye no so why is the spread only 13? The only mantra I follow is that I never let anyone persuade me to change my pick. Feel good about what you picked but if you have picked up some experience so you won't be fooled next time.
