Going big on Illinois ML (probably -120 tomorrow)

And yeah, Illinois is as bad as Utah. Good point. It makes me feel a lot better about this wager that an idiot like you would lean towards Iowa for tomorrow.

Not trying to jinx your bet but Iowa beat two tough opponents in Indiana and Wisconsin recently. They're actually playing decent ball their last 5 games....they do have some firepower to pull off a big one.....just something to think about. With so many other games on the plate tomorrow, why choose this one

First game on the schedule? ...lol.

There is no trap when no one cares about or will be laying on any of these two pitiful teams. All of the public money will be on the uconn/syracuse game tomorrow.

Not only is Illinois the more talented team, I also think they have the better coach when it comes to big ten tournament games.

I also think the fact one team owns another does play in the minds of Iowa. Just a feeling I have, and there is also a chance Illinois turns down an NIT bid so I think this may be their last chance for Leonard and Paul to make their "I'm ready for the NBA' pitches... Leonard is a mental midget so that added motivation should get a really good effort out of him. He put up 22 and 14 on Iowa a week ago so won't be a match up that he wont like down there.

Yes, Iowa is a far superior team, program, and their short, unathletic, white players are going to just run Illinois out of the gym.

The last 7 games were flukes. Illinois can't beat Iowa.

problem is Illinois looks to have quit .. on their coach and their season. Bad vibes going on with that team. Very poor and ugly body language.

to lay down a bet like this on a team that has lost 9 out of 10 games since the end of January is not very smart. and yes, considering a couple players will be playing for a couple nba scouts doesn't mean the team has a shot at winning - it only makes them prone to mistakes and one dimensional. If Iowa is up by a few buckets in the beginning of this game, you should just burn your money for warmth because making bets like this will only put you out in the streets.

I know it is only one source of capping but cbs sports has Iowa covering. For a system that claims to be 70% correct over a season, it is at least a consideration of the prediction. Food for thought.
Went 8-4 on 1h and 2h over under bets yesterday. I am not very good picking against the spread so take it for what it is worth. I wouldn't want anyone to lose money, so BOL all the same

Seriously? How can you say Weber is a better coach than McCaffrey? You just lost your credibility with this pick. McCaffrey has turned around Lichliter's debacle and Weber is probably going to get fired a day or two after Illinois loses. Check your facts before making dumb statements. Fran doubled his Big Ten wins from last year and has Iowa on its way back to relevance. With all that being said, Illinois does have Iowa's number.

Funny... that same Illinois team that is struggling still beat Iowa by double digits despite turning it over 19 times and Iowa's 3 point expert going 5-6.

I love it how people say Iowa is turned around. They have the worst RPI in the Big 10. That is turned around? Iowa fans must have really low standards, any season where you have a double digit loss at home to Campbell is a failure in my book.

Not that I meant I don't care about the bet, meaning I don't care about the argument that Illinois is struggling and anything else being thrown in this thread.

I don't think you guys watched the Illinois/Iowa game last time around. It was complete domination. It was like Illinois was a cat and Iowa was the mouse. Meyers Leonard did not start, so 6 minutes into the game, it was 5-2 Iowa and it was ugly as hell. Then Illinois put Meyers leonard in and went on a big run and had the lead the rest of the game, most of it comfortably.

Maybe Iowa backers will get lucky and Leonard will get hurt in the first few minutes.

Most of the sharps are on Iowa.....I took Iowa first half. In their last 5 games , Illinois has looked horrible and cant score worth a sh*t. That 7 foot sasquatch on Illinois is a useless turnover machine.

Look for Iowa to grab the early lead. Good Luck.

$1950 to win $1500 only on this game for me. Sharps have apparently never seen Iowa play. They look like middle schoolers against Leonard.
