I think that they're a good bet. They haven't had a 4-0 start to a season in 40 years, despite having 6 20-win seasons in a row. That's a huge motivator. The win over Mississippi State really impressed me as well. I admit I don't know much about Valparaiso

I think the Crimson Tide are well suited to this matchup. To beat Purdue, you really need to challenge them at the 3pt line because Hummel and Smith can drain the open look shots all day. Alabama has been great so far this season at 3pt defense, and I expect the Boilers to have their shots challenged all night. The Tide have also been solid on interior defense, with the exception of allowing opponents to collect a few too many offensive rebounds, however Purdue is not a particularly good offensive rebounding team. Should be a great game.

Winthrop +8.5 (-111) x1

Winthrop might be 0-4 right now, but those losses have come at the hands of four teams who are collectively 12-4 to start the season. It's been a rough first few games for the Golden Eagles. However, this is not a bad team. They have some talented players but are prone to streaky shooting. A couple of their games were very competitive with their opponents only really pulling away in the closing minutes. The biggest weakness that I've noticed about them is that they don't do very well at all against prolific 3pt shooters. They don't defend the perimeter well, and once their defense gets spread out, their interior is vulnerable to driving players.

The good news is that Drexel has only one player that's really a threat from outside and he's recovering from knee surgery and not playing. Other than that, Drexel relies on working in the paint and second chance points as they really don't have many talented shooters that can hit the midrange jumpers.

Winthrop is at their best banging in the paint and this game will likely be quite physical. Without a strong outside threat for Drexel, these teams match up pretty well, and +8.5 is too many points for Drexel to be giving Winthrop here.

Good defensive team against a potent offense. I think Memphis is very talented, and have looked great beating up on lesser opponents but they haven't fared well against ranked teams in recent years. I don't think this will be an easy game for them. Michigan's slower tempo and strong defense are going to be a challenge that Memphis might overcome, however I think that at +6.5, there's a very good chance that Michigan covers this game.
