Thank you to everyone for the kudos. I will aim to keep the winning ways going of course. The contest is all but over I am afraid to say. There is a max of only 150 picks, which is five per day for 30-days, which is a ton, in my opinion only. I di dmanage some of the amounts based on the huge lead I have enjoyed, but that is the ONLY reason they were different than i would normally do if I am competing only against the book.

SIU Edwardsville already beat them once this year. This is a pretty big spread to cover and its one of the Kine System plays so I lean SIU

Yes, unless otherwise noted they are always 5* plays and it was placed that way in the contest too.

It's not so much a system but a way of looking at things to see an angle. He's been putting up a thread now for the 3rd yr in Covers.
Under the name of KineProfessor

The premise is to start at or following Bracket Buster wkend. The idea is pretty simple to look up the Kenpom rankings &
go against home Fav's that are outside the top 165 rank ( meaning ranked #165 or worse) that open as 6.5 pts or more
for conferences that always have lined games ( so some of the smaller conf are eliminated).

It does well because these lower spotlight teams get less action, have less tight lines & the line is slower to adjust,
A lot of people prefer to bet Fav's,
the key being these lower ranked teams shouldn't be given as much credit for playing at home,
these Dogs may have more motivation when they are at the end of the season & out of contention
It's easier for coaches to control focus, discipline & motivation when playing on the road than when at home
Lower ranked teams have a greater variance in performance thus being less likely to cover as a Fav even when
playing a worse team. Plus the fact that the majority of people are less likely to play on teams that burned
them earlier in the year. ( this sometimes leads to an inflated line also, just for the fact that no one wants
to play on these so called bums).

The difficult part is that if you actually research these games in the normal process, you generally will find a lot of
reasons not to play them, but they consistently cover ( I'm assuming for the above reasoning)

The 6.5 pts allows for 3 scores to keep these Dogs in the game (in 2.5 yrs it is 55 games above .500) and allows for
approx 35 games in the final weeks.

20* Notre Dame and as an OPTIONAL alternative and for those, who are bullish on a ND upset.. you can play a 15* amount on the line adn then a 5* amount getting a juicy premium on the money line.

Thanks for those comments above.... i like to see the exchange of ideas and especially when we are delaing with some unknown schools. For instance, I also have a

5* play on Mississippi Valley State tonight too. They are lined at -6 1/2 over Jackson State. What do you all think of this play?

I like the simple fact that MVST play an enormously difficult front end schedule playing some of the best teams in the nation. I have found it to be quite true that these schools. who are more about improving as a team, instead of padding their records often do far better come the end of the season. They endured and learned from those great teams and now have a perfect 16-0 conference record in the SWAC. I will admit it looks like a potential trap, but the public is not at all familiar with these teams and I strongly believe that MVST is a vastly superior team that i fully expect will win by double digits.

This is my first post on here. I like a site where folks can talk about picks. I gave my boss picks this summer and went 23-6 from september to november. November I started going about 40% which is about the time my boss laid me off. lol So now I get to talk picks with other folks that would like them. I started working again this week and thus betting again. I'm 5-1 so far and looking a for a little more money till payday tomorrow. I'm waiting to see that the first ESPN game does before I put my bet in on the second. The bookies of my boss put a limit of 50 bucks a game when I asked them if I could bet on my own cause they knew I was winning my boss alot of money. Not bragging just glad I found a place where I can bet. I also just ignore most stats and go with trends. I'll tell what I take before 9PM and we'll see. How do I post my own name on my own thread.

Agree with ND but since you asked about M Valley St it leaves me beside myself.
I agree it looks like the right side to be on however,

In the last 10 meetings they've not beaten Jax St by 7 pts & it's only in the 10th meeting back that they did
so the record is 1-9 when you consider it at 6.5 pts. but I also must say that only once was there a lined gm
and MV St won outright by one pt as a small pup.

Also I believe that MV St wrapped up the division last wk when they won by 3 as 7.5 pt Fav over TX So.

I also see the line is moving to 7 pts almost everywhere which is the indication of 68% siding with the Fav
and I do repeat that the Fav side appears to be the right side, but my confidence in them is weak to cover the number.
