I know. I couldn't see the game on tv, so I was following the gamecast online. It updated that Syracuse got the ball back with like 30 seconds left up by 27. I breathed a sigh of relief like "oh, the only thing that can happen here is Cuse dribbles it out." The gamecast took a couple minutes to update, then all of the sudden I see the final score

Well guys, it was another exciting day in college hoops. Some frustrating losses for sure, but overall I still like the day's picks, and thanks to an easy cover by SDSU we actually ended up in the green,+1.49x for the night. I'll certainly live with that. That brings us to:

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, last night was one of those situations where if you were gonna tail me, you had to tail me all the way in order to get the results I did. If you only went with me on certain plays, or if you didn't put as many units as I did on certain plays, you might have ended up differently. Although, in some cases, you might have gotten even better results than me - for example, some of you were probably able to get all your Syracuse units in when the line was -24.5 or better. In that case, you did better than me, as I had 3x in at -24 but also had 3x in at -26, resulting in a disappointing push on that game.

Ok good morning all! Yesterday makes 4 consecutive days in the green, and none in the red so far this college hoops season! That is a pretty awesome result, but let's not count our chickens just yet. First, we must start the day by thanking the gambling gods for our good fortune, and respectfully asking for continued success . Yesterday was certainly a turbulent day in hoops, but our last play put us in the positive, and we know the gambling gods were looking out for us there.

It's still early today, but I'm leaning on Arizona 1st Half -7 and full game -13 at the moment. Will keep thinking on it and update in a bit. See you guys soon!

Also, I am updating my YTD to the following:

YTD 18-9-1, +20.64x

Note that the W/L record is now 18-9-1, not 17-9-1. This is to reflect that on 11/11/11, I actually had 2 plays on St. Bonaventure, one at -8.5 2x, and one at -8 1x. The Bonnies covered both lines, resulting in two W's, not one.

I'm not sure what the status quo is for recording wins and losses when making a similar play on the same team, but my thinking is that each play counts separately. As long as the lines are different, and therefore the plays could potentially end up with different results, i.e. a win and a loss, a win and a push, etc., then I think that is the correct way to do it. I applied this method to my results from last night, so it's only in the interest of fairness and accuracy that I go back and update the record to reflect the St. Bonnie plays. The fact that it ups my winning percentage is simply a collateral bonus.

Note that this does not apply where the only thing different between plays is the price I am getting (like -105 vs. -108). The actual line must be different so that two different outcomes could result.
