ML means "moneyline." You are betting on a team to win straight up, without regard to any point spread. So, for example, Tennessee ML +165 means that if you wager $100, the bet will pay of $165 if Tennessee wins. If you take the other side of that play, and go with Memphis ML -175, it means you would have to lay $175 in order to win $100 if Memphis wins the game.

And no, you are not the only one on Michigan +7. I like it a lot too, Michigan may even win straight up.

True enough, but I made the play based on the assumption that Tennessee will match up well against Memphis even if Memphis doesn't play like shit.

And yes, getting burned from both sides is one of those frustrating experiences unique to sports betting. I remember I had a play on Duke ATS a few nights back, one of the dumbass Plumlees biffed a million free throws, including two at the end of the game that would have given us the cover. Then last night, when I am on Tennessee, he is money from the line. We ended up winning the Tennessee play anyways, but I coulda done without the sweat.
