#25169Consider the fact that maybe he's watching the line and trying to get best line value. Sometimes that means the play goes in later than other times. It's possible that the plays made considerably earlier are made because the line value is evident and he is avoiding movement against desired play. So don't get spoiled with the early play. Just be thankful that his posts are right after he makes his play.Comment -

#25171The Mavericks can put a full game of distance between themselves and Arkansas State with a win and would control their own destiny at that point. The Mavericks also won the only regular season meeting, so they have the tiebreaker. Georgia Southern seems to have overachieved a bit early in conference play and has come back to earth recently. It seems like a bad time to play on a team with sinking confidence, so the lean goes to Arlington in this Sun Belt battle.Comment -

#25173Not the greatest spot for Texas Tech with a quick turnaround after 2OT loss @WVU but should be a good 2nd matchup between the two. Iowa State has struggled big time on the glass in conference play due to their lack of size -- We saw this in the first matchup against TTU and definitely a concern for the Cyclones again tonight. With that being said, they’ve pulled off impressive road wins this year despite getting severely outrebounded (I.e. win @KU the Cyclones were outrebounded 42-24). Iowa St will be able to get open looks vs. TTU’s ball line defense so it comes down to them being able to convert. They have shot ~41% from 3 in conference road games so they’re certainly capable of doing so. I also think they can take advantage in transition, especially if Tech is a bit sluggish after the WVU loss. Defensively, ISU held TTU to 0.92 PPP in the first meeting, one of their better defensive performances this season so it’ll be interesting to see if they’re able to replicate that tonight. While I think Iowa State can win, TTU w/ revenge has some advantages in the paint (both ends of the floor) that could be the difference tonight. GLComment -

#25178I'm thinking another solution to not missing Ayo plays would be for a group of us to exchange numbers and start a group chat. Whoever catches the plays first posts them in the group text chat. If you are down pm me and les get thisComment -

#25184I got 15.5 but I'm playing this. Texas seems to keep road games close. Wvu is a killer squad but i feel like they arent beating teams as bad as in the beginning of the season. They have to be worn down after months of running the full court press for 90 to 100% of the games. The other thing is wvu misses a lot of fts.
As a disclaimer. I do not like texas. This team can be painful to watch. Just hoping they show up today. Best of luck in whatever you do!Comment -

#25191I was pretty high on La Salle heading into this season with Senior Jordan Price, and talented transfers BJ Johnson & Pookie Powell leading the team. In my opinion they’ve really underperformed with bad losses to Texas Southern, Penn , St. Joes, GMason, and Temple (all games they should’ve won). It didn’t help that Powell missed 6 games in a row due to a knee injury leaving an inferior Amar Stukes to run the offense. Powell returned vs. Bonnies with limited minutes and saw normal playing time vs. St. Joes this past weekend. I really don’t think much of the blowout win vs. St Joes as the Hawks are dealing with incredible injury issues to key players. But it’s good for the Explorers to finally have a fully healthy roster for the first time in months.
URI has some serious revenge tonight after losing to La Salle at home in early January. Hurley has dominated Giannini in recent years and losing outright as 13pt favorites last meeting did not sit well with him. Hurley after last matchup between the two: “We’ve got a whole lot of soul searching to do right now. We were flat and overmatched, and that does not happen to my teams. We’re just too good to play the way we did tonight. We took a step backwards with this performance, but we don’t have a lot of time to spend feeling bad for ourselves.” With that being said, I think we get a strong effort from a veteran Rams squad tonight in search for a much needed win.
If you look at the first game between the two, Hurley wasn’t lying when he said they were flat - URI came out so sluggish and just couldn’t dig out. They were down 29-11 in the first 10 minutes and down 21 at half. Didn’t help La Salle shot 60% from the field and was 30/41 from the line. Matchup wise, La Salle loves to shoot the 3 (54th in the country & 2nd in the A10 for 3PA/FGA). URI on the other hand really denies the 3point line effectively with their aggressive perimeter defense. What’s interesting to note is URI limited La Salle to just 10 3pt attempts in the first meeting – La Salle’s lowest 3PA game all season (and by a landslide). Hurley will roll out a similar strategy tonight to protect against the 3 ball with the hope the Explorers don’t shoot 50% again. Hassan Martin and Kuran Iverson are awesome rim protectors and can really limit Johnson and Henry down low but it’s vital they don’t get in foul trouble like we’ve seen from them this season. Terrell, Matthews, and Robinson should disrupt Powell, Price, and Stukes on the perimeter and I’m having a hard time imagining Stukes has the same production as the first matchup.
La Salle’s defense is not great and have gotten torched by top teams in the A10 and I think a hungry URI team can take advantage tonight, especially around the rim. Do I worry about URI’s play on the road? Yes . Do I worry about URI getting in foul trouble again tonight? Yes. But I would be surprised if Hurley loses at Gola regardless of how miserable that gym is.

#25194like this play. Defensive team should stop the up and down play of La salle also if they dictate the start of the game and play there pace should be a cover for sure. Rhody should be efficent on offense in this game La salle plays zero defense.Comment -
