I really respect Izzo, and I don't think its fair to any team in the final four to say they made it there by fluke. It is too many games to be a fluke. That being said - this MSU team didn't look all that strong during the B10 regular season, and I'm still not a Butler believer.

I think this games a coin flip and the winner of this gets cleaned up by Duke.

Why is everyone so caught up on seeds? This was one of the worst seeded tournaments in the last 10 years. MSU beat 2 top 25 teams on way to final 4 even though #1 Kansas, #14 Georgetown and #5 Ohio state got knocked out. #20 Maryland and #15 Tenn. Duke beat 2 top 25 teams on way to Final 4 #19 Baylor and a fading #10 Purdue. Duke played the teams they were "suppose" to play along the way except for a Villanova team that had no business even being a #2 seed. MSU played some lower seeds in there bracket and there road was close to same path Duke had. This just means tournament was seeded horribly. Northern Iowa was also ranked 26 at end of season and had a RPI of 17 so to say they were an "easy" team is ridiculous just ask Kasas. By the way MSU beat Kansas last year when they had Collins and Aldrich, so to think Kanas would of "rolled" them is ridiculous as well. Haters man there everywhere

VERY true about the seedings. Cornell ranked 12 and they stemroll round 1, and shitpump round 2 before getting knocked out. 5th vs 12th shouldn't be 12th winning in double digits

the seedings, as usual, were correct. but in college basketball, in the pressure of the one and done, upsets happen. if the college baskets tourney was best of each round, 12 seeds would rarely beat 5's and so and so forth. the seeds would hold true. but in a one gm scenario on a neutral court, anything can happen and often does.

hogwash. america loves the underdog, the mid-major. when george mason made their run to the final 4 in 06, america loved it. they just ran into a killer florida team that was bigger, stronger, better. butler matches up really well w/mich st. if butler wins, the monday night champ gm will get a very high rating because its the little guy (who's really not so little) vs. the big guy (duke or w.virginia). if mich st wins, it's a great story that izzo took one of his lesser talented teams ever to the final gm. either way, it's a great story and the mon night gm will be watched by tens of millions maybe even a 100 million, just like every yr.

I agree, but I think Butler is just the better team when MSU doesnt have Lucas. A 2pt loss at least shows they belong (If you think Butler belongs too). At least they didnt get blown out.
