I won't do a write up, but Butler and Syracuse will lose earlier then expected. Ohio State and Villanova will go farther then expected. I know everyone sees them as very good teams, but thinks Villanova has struggled as of late. And We've seen great players carry teams in the past. That may not be as helpful to spreads as betting mid majors plus the points for a majority of games. The bookies will try and get everyone to jump all over small lines knowing they'll play tough. For instance Davidson was like a 4 point dog against Gtown a few years back with Curry. I could see this happening with alot of teams this tourney.

Oklahoma State is my favorite team entering dance.
My big upset team is Wofford.
UTEP will make a strong run, win a few games.
Kansas will cut down the net's.

Agree with the Butler and Syracuse... But I think Ohio St. and Villanova will exit just as early as the other two! But good luck with your bets & bracket!

Anyone think that Houston could make a little noise as an underdog after winning the C-USA tourney? Depending on their draw I think they can give some teams a bit of trouble.

the trends to remember are in the 1st round the faves advance and then in the 2nd round is where we see the upsets usually happen. I love it when I see ppl filling out their brackets and they picks 7 upsets in the 1st round.

Sure one 12 seed always beats a five seed.
10 seeds beat 7 seeds a lot

that is where your 1st round upsets occur

great thread, my cash cow last year the first two rounds of the tourney were the Saints of Siena....haven't given it much thought yet, but will post my dog team that I feel will make us money the first two rounds of the tourney later on this week.

Points are distributed evenly between everyone on this team and they work together very well.

Loving Murray State. They'll dispatch Vandy without any problem. Also think St. Mary's got a nice draw against Butler, and as usual, my Cal guys got screwed. They'll probably win first round but damn...Duke afterwards? We deserved a 7...

Temple got hosed big time. No way they should have been less than a 3 seed. And then to be matched up against a very good Cornell team just because someone on the committee has a sick sense of humor and wants to send Fran Dunphy back to the Ivy league. Doesn't matter though. Temple is good enough to persevere and I would really hate to be Kentucky in the 3rd round.

Yes I do go to Pitt so there is some homerism but my reason is the bracket they got is very doable for them. They've beaten Syracuse this year, they can do it again. Syracuse also faded at the end. Pitt didn't care about the Big East tournament as much as previous years. Taking a little bit of a risk there I admit

Kentucky wins it all. And I hate Kentucky and everything it stands for right now with the stealing of recruits

At least NI got in. If you want to talk hosed, just look at Miss St. A bad call cost them the SEC title in a 1-pt ot loss to KY , and then the Selection Committee shoved it further up the ass(w/o KY) by snubbing them.
