Terrible loss on Ball State Saturday, So far I have hit 66% of my picks, and the other 33% of my picks I knew they were losers 10 minutes into the game. Ball State scored 42 points, wow. Time to get back on track.

Oklahoma +13.5 @ Texas

Texas will win this game. I am confident in that. But that is about it. Their free throw shooting problems really limits them from blowing teams out. OU Beat Texas Feb. 6th, with Willie Warren only scoring 3 points. It was simply the FT shooting that gave them the win. Texas is over-rated in general for one, and besides HAMMERING Nebraska, which is not anything to be proud of, their only other 14+ point win the whole BIG 12 season was WAY back on January 6th vs Colorado. The rivalry factor has to be in play here, as Oklahoma will play this game like it is their BIG 12 title game. OU lost by 13 @ Kansas just last week, and that was with KU shooting 51% from the field 30/58. Oklahoma should hang around in this game just by default. I see a single digit game here. Texas still has a lot of problems.

Jackson St. -1 1/2

Jackson St coming in with a 10 game win streak and has a chance to virtually wrap up a conference championship as they play the #2 team in their conference in Arkansas Pine-Bluff. ABP comes in riding a 7 game win streak and is playing very well, and may be looking for revenge, but i expect Jackson St. to come out hot and be playing with a lot of energy. Now i know this is the swac conference so there really isnt a home court advantage, but Jackson St is 8-3 at home while ark pb is only 6-13 on the road. Both teams have been hot but look for the home team to pull it out in the end and win by around 6 or 7

As much as it kills me to do this, I gotta go with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, You cant underestimate this team right now as they are playing for their lives and still believe they have a shot at making the tournament. Michigan is playing absolutely terrible right now and is coming off a loss to their arch rivals Ohio-St. I hate the big ten just as much as any other basketball (or real football) fan, but getting the Gophers at a pk here is hopefully a cash. Michigan is down and out and has another rivalry game with the Spartans coming up later this week. Theyve lost three of their last four since beating MN at MN and the Gophers have to be thinking payback with their tournament lives on the line

I got a couple games I will be writing up about later today. Including Kansas State/Kansas. There are no teams in the nation that I have watched more than these two. Hopefully, people who are regional experts can inform us about the teams we don't usually see play in 'lined' games.

People are going to think I am crazy. But when the tournament rolls around, read this next comment. Both these teams are OVER-RATED. Kansas might still make the final 4, but as far as their spreads are concerned, they get too much respect almost EVERY time out. Kansas State, I see getting upset in the 2nd or 3rd round of the tournament. Give me a couple good defensive guards, and force K state's big men to score points, and you can kiss K State goodbye. Now for tonight. This will be a heated game. Kansas will win, but not by 10 or more. K State will hit too many three pointers, Sherron Collins did not look very good at all last game, and I think he gets outplayed again tonight. Aldrich will dominate though and Kansas wins by a few points late. Plus let's look at recent matchups when Kansas has played a top 5 Big 12 team. Just lost to OK State last time out, beat Texas A&M by only 5, beat Baylor by only 6 at home, beat this same K State team by only 2 in OT in Manhattan. Kansas did beat both Texas and Missouri by more than 9 but MU was ICE COLD only shooting 19/68. Missouri even outshot KU in that game. Texas is not a top notch Big 12 team either, if u didnt know. Close game tonight in this HUGE rivalry.

Dayton +4 @ Richmond
Very popular Richmond pick here today. But here is the problem. Dayton NEEDS this win BADLY. Richmond has no real significant motivation besides it being a home game. The spread is 4, which Dayton would have covered on the road vs New Mexico, St Louis, Xavier.. all tournament teams. And only lost on the road by 8 to Temple and by 6 at Villanova, never got blown out once, so I dont know how people are SOOO confident in Richmond in this spot. Dayton will be 20-9 overall and 9-6 in conference if they win this game. Richmond is already in the NCAA tourney. When Richmond felt it wasnt a big game, they needed OT to beat UMASS at, only beat G Washington by 4, lost to Charlotte, beat La Salle by only 4, and even squeaked past a very weak UNC Wilmington team earlier in the year, ALL THESE GAMES WERE AT HOME FOR RICHMOND. Dayton needs this win more, they have to keep it close all the way to the end if they want ANY shot at an at large bid in 2010. Take the Flyers plus the points.

Providence at Pittsburgh...

Getting an over under of 150 in a Providence game is like getting an over under of 25 in a New Orleans Saints game. Bet the over with confidence, PC is usually down late in the fourth and does not stop fouling and racking the score up. PC controls the tempo in every game as they have one of the worst (if not the worst) defenses in the NCAA and even teams that like to get in a set abandon it cause it's too easy to score on them. On offense they shoot real early in the clock and run well.

I think you're right on Providence. They'll score enough to keep the score within 11. Pitt is not built to blow out a team like Providence.

Elon +9 vs Davidson

Elon is a solid team. Could win this game straight. Just lost to Davidson in OVERTIME last weekend. Only loss for Elon over 9 points in their last 9 games... Georgia Southern, who shot 13 of 25 from three point land, and who is much improved. Davidson has been laying too many points for a while now, Davidson is only 4-3 straight up in their last 7, ALL 4 of theirs wins have come from a COMBINED 13 points! No way they can blow out a solid playing ELON team right now.

Hofstra -6 vs Georgia State

Hofstra is playing GREAT basketball. They have a legit shot in this tournament people. They have won 6 straight games, 9 of 10 overall. Even revenging their one loss in that stretch by taking out Northeastern on their own home court as 11 point dogs. No respect here for the Pride, they should be 12 point favs, they just beat GSU by 13, and now only laying 6? The Pride have scored over 82 in 4 of their last 5 games, no way GSU can score with them. GSU is only 3-7 straight up in their last 10, no shot they can win this game, not often can be said for only a 6 point dog. GSU has ONLY 1 win over a winning team this calendar year, a home win vs George Mason, thats it. Not gonna happen today, Hofstra rolls them by 10+.

Canisius -11.5 vs Marist

Marist is one of the worst teams in D-I college basketball. Canisius is not great my any means but these teams are on complete different levels, as proven by the two times they have played this year. Both 15 point wins, now though Marist is playing even worse, losing their last 4 conference games by 15,19,23 and 25. Marist has not scored over 60 in their lat 8 conference games, Canisius has value here simply because they lost by 16 their last time out to Rider, a team they beat by 16 when earlier this year at home. Rider just came to play last weekend. Marist has 28 losses, 19 of them by 12 or more, make it 20 tonight.
