NCAAB "Best Bet" Plays

I previously had started a NCAAB thread dealing with 'Line Movements'. Due to the length of time daily those plays require i had to stop posting on that thread because i dont have the time to dedicate to it. Instead i will just have a thread with my top plays that i play and thats it. I wont have plays everyday i will just be posting plays on the days i feel we have a really good play.

Clemson -4.5 vs. North Carolina

What's up Snap? This is actually the first time I am looking on the NCAA Hoops thread this year and saw your post. I actually was just talking about this game with a capper and I really like UNC. I have a bunch of reasons but the biggest being who has Clemson played (and beat) vs who has UNC played. They are battle tested already. I don't like that Clemson lost to Duke (badly) and got beat by Ill and Texas A&M. Now they are going to give 5 points to UNC? I'll probably make this a no play now that I see it's your top pick of the day.

this is not the UNC team of seasons past. i like Clemson 1H -2' a little better simply due to Clemson's FT shooting and history against UNC, but Clemson -4.5 looks solid too. BOL tonight.

I understand what you are saying here but 2 things. First you cant compare the Duke game because it was a road game at Duke. One of the factors to look at when capping games is timing and that game was on the road at one of the toughest buildings to play in. Second, the Illinois game was played on December 2nd and Texas A&M on the 26th of November. I personally dont go back on the schedule over a month ago to cap a game, just not my style.

Some notable past figures for Clemson:

They lost to Illinios this year at home but lets not forget they had a 23 point lead in the 2/H in that game until they had a collapse losing that game by 2 points. They played well with Duke on the road until scoring just 12 points in the 2/H. The problem with the Tigers is they have struggled on defense at times this season in those games. "Just play Clemson basketball, and play it well," the coach said. "When we have done that this year we have been a pretty good basketball team. The few moments we haven't done that, we've struggled."

Dont forget Clemson is 13-3 this season and they have won 8 out of 9 home games this season. Clemson is one of the more efficient shooting teams in the ACC, hitting 48.2 percent of its field goal attempts through the first 15 games of the season. As a result, the Tigers are averaging 77.9 ppg and they also own favorable margins in both rebounding (+5.1) and turnovers (+3.9). As i stated earlier they have only allowed 59 points per game at home this season.

Although it has yet to win a true road game this season, North Carolina is the better team in this matchup -- at least on paper. That said, expect Clemson to play inspired ball in front of what will surely be a frenzied home crowd, and for the Tigers to snap their 10-game losing streak to the Tar Heels.

Good job last night with this game. I'm glad I saw your thread and did not bet on UNC. I'll keep in mind some of things you said going forward. But one thing I like and have noticed is the lines and teams getting too much respect on the road. Examples last night were Mia, Geo Tech and a few others. I'll be checking your thread for future plays.
