thought it was a fitting name seeing how they all have drug charges...the question is should the vols be on auto-fade right now? i didnt like this team b4 they got 4 key contributors kicked off the team...always have talent never a good team....char is nothing special but they can score points and have played a few good teams well this year...char is +10.5 seems like a lot of points for ten to be laying with all these problems but the books are just as aware of this as we are.....what does every1 think as im a little gun-shy .....

I live in Knoxville, so I am pretty up to date on everything going on. I think char +12 (where its at now) is a great play. UT is known for playing up or down to it opponents level and with the suspensions they will be missing a lot of talent. With Tyler Smith and Brian Williams gone UT has no post presents. This game will come down to two thing, how Scotty Hopson steps up and how UT shoots the outside shot. Also they are now working with a 6-7 man rotation when they had been using a 9-10 man all year which will effect their press and conditioning. The 4 players who were suspended are big time contributors and with there futures still uncertain I expect the Vols minds not to be in the right place tonight. They will really have to step up tonight if they are gonna cover the spread, people around here are thinking they might actually lose.
Char has a great PG which give UT problems. Look at the USC game. USC PG transfered from Char because he could not beat out there starter. Char also beat louisville so they are not a bad team at allComment -

I am a UT fan. Without looking too much into the numbers, if I had to bet on this game I would probably have to go with CHARLOTTE.
Smith is (was) the leader of the team. The other three were good contributors. I just don't know what the psyche of the team will be with all of this mess going on, not to mention the bodies they will be missing on the court.
They will be dressing 6 scholly players and 3 walkons tonight.

+13.5 is ridiculous. Tenn is without 39% of their scoring, and their leader in Tyler Smith as one other poster mentioned. They're left with basically Hopson, Chism, and Maze to do everything out there. JP Prince basically turned out to be a scrub more than anything so if he steps up to be the 4th man to push it passed this number I would be absolutely flabbergasted. That and this team loves to get up and down and press press press after a made basket, which is where a lot of their cheap points come from (4th in TO% on kenpom). Now they're basically going to be 6-7 deep compared to 10. Either they won't be expected to make enough baskets to keep pressing without 39% of their offense, or their legs will be gone late in the 2nd half. I don't know how Bruce Pearl can expect to just keep playing and coaching the way they do with this being the scenario. Surely something has got to give with what little they're walking out there tonight. Add to the fact that not a damn soul on UT can make their FT's to help easily push it past this number if it approaches it late in the game if UT happens to stun us all is more than enough reason to take the +13.5 and a shot at the +750 ML

Unless Vegas knows more than everyone in Knoxville (which is possible). UT will have to play there best ball of the season to cover this spread. On sports radio most people are saying they think the vols will lose because they will not be able to handle Charlottes guard play (ie USC). They books have been wrong before people!
