Cheese, you know the anti-Martingale admonitions just make you stronger. I'm guessing your success at handicapping over the years is not due to doubling up successive bets.
This is a fun premise if you would get a few more people to participate in picks.

I like the consensus idea a lot, Cheese--I even submitted my top rated UAB play yesterday. However the thread is doomed because of the betting "strategy" you chose. Every system loses 4 in a row--it's inevitable. If you win 10 in a row and then lose 4 in a row (71% win ave), where are you with Martingale?

Call me a hater, but I think people do a disservice when they promote locks and/or chase systems. Just my opinion.

Thank goodness, IF I can stay off that football game tonight, there might be one day a year that I can enjoy a restful evening with the family without worrying if that road dog I bet on will cover with a last second garbage basket.

Instead I will play a Martingale with a snifter of cognac. Doubling up after draining the previous. Until the bankroll is gone.
