I had OU beating Boise and losing to Michigan State in the sweet 16.

Boise should have beaten Dayton had it not been a freaking home game for the Flyers. Even then, Boise had a decent lead late.

I don't really feel all that great about my Sooners playing Dayton in Columbus. Dayton is hot right now.

OU has coughed up big leads on a few different occasions this year. I'm talking 20 point 2nd half leads. I hope they don't pull that shit today.

In other news, Cardinal baseball is about to start. I know you're a fellow Cards fan.

think i have had a bet on Ou in every one of those gms they coughed up big leads, lol.. luckily some of them i took the other team live or at half thinking i was gonna middle tho, not expecting for it to soften the blow of ou losing and not covering, mfers. lol... honestly i think dayton is bout out of gas, they so thin and have not been shooting well, their saving grace against provo was provo shooting 30 freaking percent... i have no interest in betting it but i do think Ou will get this one..

starting to get jacked up for baseball. my brother just spent last week down in fla at cards spring training. he said waino and wacha both looked really good. loved the heyword trade. if waino can hold up which is a big question mark to me, i think cards much better this yr than last.

YA.....you really have to shake it. Just look at it as a loss, and not how the loss happened.

If youve played games all season, youve gotten plenty of wins like it.......we tend to forget about our backdoor covers much faster then the bad beats.

My buddy called me basically in tears on Thursday night from Las Vegas.......he got destroyed all day, went 0-8.......and then decided to empty his bank account on Eastern Washington at +9.5.

Eastern Washington was down by 8 and missed a 3 pointer with about 10 seconds left I think.....and decided not to foul.....so my buddy recovers alot of his losses. Well, no.....Georgetown throws the ball down the court with EWU walking off the court, and a Georgetown donkey slams one when John Thompson clearly had his hands up telling him not to go in.

My buddy then say in Vegas for the next 2.5 days without a dollar to play with.......said it was the most miserable trip of his life.

We tend not to mention the lucky wins we snag........almost pretend like they werent a lucky win.....then we go ape sh!t on the bad beats.........itss what we do.

That's absolutely brutal and we have all been there.

I am strategic when I plan Vegas trips. Save up enough money to last you for the trip and only take so much out per night. Leave the wife at home because she will either get pissed at you for blowing money or she will run up your ************ at the malls within the casinos while you're gambling.

Lock the rest of your cash away in those safes in the hotel room and don't touch it until the next day.

I usually have a buddy and we watch each other. If I go bust for the night my friend picks up the alcohol tab or just gives me his comped drinks for the night but he doesn't let me dip into the safe until the next day. If one of us is losing we and the other is winning, we pick each other up.

Also, if your daily bankroll is say $500, make sure you stash twice that away for the final night. The last night is balls to the wall.

As for Vegas sportsbooks, they other Bovada type lines. Offshore is much better with all the options and live betting.

Last time I was in Vegas I was comparing the lines at the Mirage to Bovada and Bovada had better MLB lines.

I will be going to Vegas before the end of the summer and I can't wait. I'm addicted to that place.

YA, I felt horrible for him....but we've all been there.

If I remember right, he lost a couple more brutal ones.....pretty sure he had Baylor ML as well.
But he said emotions came into play after each loss......and he had this trip planned for 3 months, and couldnt control his emotions. The guy really isnt a big gambler either......pretty much just bets when he gets to Vegas.

I really feel for people that have those beats.

I think my worst was when I went huge on OU first half against Klay Thompson's Wazzu team a few years ago.

I had OU +1.5.

OU was "winning" by 1 point "with possession" holding for the last shot as time was running down and the shot clock was off.

With 5 seconds left OU passes to a wide open man underneath for a dunk. He f*cking misses it, it squirts out, and Wazzu heaves a 3/4 court shot that goes in. I lose by .5 at the buzzer.

I could write a book about my NBA beats.

GSW blowing a 20 lead to Memphis with 5 minutes left and losing and regulation.

OKC and Chicago blowing 15 point leads with like 4 minutes left to Miami and Dallas in the playoffs....on back to back f*cking nights. Shit can be unreal at times.
