#246I wanted to correct something in this post. The line moved from 5.5 to 7 in the Celtics/Lakers game because more money is on the Celtics, not the Lakers. The percentages you see at insights and other places are not the amount of money bet, but he number of bets. So, in this specific game a greater number of people like the Lakers, but more money is being bet on the Celtics, hence the line move. The books are not looking to gamble by taking a side, especially in a high profile, high volume game like this.Comment -

#247BOSTON MASSACRE 2009!!!
Celts playing the Lakers in Boston tonight. The best team in the league versus the team that beat them on Christmas day in front of the whole country and the media wont let them forget about it. Kevin Garnet has been so worked up about this game that Celts management had to sit him for the past 2 games so he wouldn't kill someone. Tonight he is out for blood. He might bite someone. Do not take your young children to the Boston Garden because its going to get messy.
The Celts will quiet the haters about who the best team is right now. This is THE statement game if there ever was one! Look for the Celts to go nuts on team defense and Rondo to push the ball taking a step closer to becoming a true all star point guard. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen continue to earn their big salaries tonight.
Side note:
The Ref's for tonights game are:
J. Capers
M. McCutchen (IRISH)
L. Wood
The Money Train is leaving in a few hours boys... all aboard!!
CELTICS -10

#249Buying & Shopping For Points.
All Pro's Do It, Why (short answer)Because It's Smart
Amatures, Never seem to care about the pts. they also think their paying for something,
Only Losers (bets) Pay for those pts.
CK, Why bother to acknowledge, keep doing what your doing, I know (we) You have been at this and earning a pay for a long time, so keep doing what your doing. and to that guy it's cool to ask IF, your willing to learn, but to make statements with out any logic makes No Sence/ Money..
GLTA...
-------------------------------------------------------
yo, dex, dame That really makes sence with Boston tonight, Now Thats a Game IMO that the pts. is what will make all the difference, IMO It should be a tight game, ultimatly Boston will win, but by how much? That's the question, (By How Much) I also think this game is ripe for a Middle Opportunity. As pro's know it's Not just picking the winner, all about the pts. and What's The Best Combination, to play this? I think Bos. wins by just short of "DD" Bos Wins By>5-6-7-or maybe even 8// Boston M/L/or bos-?//Lakers+ pts.? Now What's The Best Value Here?Comment -

#255mixpicks i'm not sure what your saying but if your from Brookline then you should be rooting for the GREEN! And if you like MONEY then you should be betting on the Celts no matter where you are from.
Brookline is cool I used to hang around Kenmore Square a lot when I was younger.
I write my own silly write ups and if I share a pro's I will tell you. Good luck man! Was just kidding about KG biting someone. =) Although, Paul Gasol will feel he has been assaulted by the end of the night!!!Comment -

#262USF/St. Mary's notes
Before its win over Loyola Marymount on Jan. 31, San Francisco had lost nine straight games to Division I opponents. Its only victory in that span came against Division II Cal State East Bay.
• USF started the Jan. 31 Loyola Marymount game 1-for-8 from the field and got behind 11-2 but held the Lions without a field goal for a span of more than 12 minutes to take control.
• San Francisco had beaten Pepperdine six straight times before the loss on Jan. 29.
Losing five in a row heading into the Jan. 29 game against Pepperdine was bad enough, but losing to the Waves at San Francisco set a new standard. It was the Dons’ most disappointing loss in a long time, considering the circumstances.
Pepperdine had won only four games overall before the Jan. 29 game and was winless on the road. It had lost its previous four games by a combined margin of 94 points.

#266That may have been me talking about national exposure, not recognition, as Gonzaga has a national tv game this Saturday against Memphis, which is their big opportunity to solidify a spot in the big dance. Very well may be looking past Portland to this showdown.Originally posted by nonsense48gonz-10 is the smallest spread gonz has given portland in quite sometime and gonz beat port about 3 wks.ago by 17pts. so for me gonz-10 is the obvious choice here unless i'm missing something. someone mentioned about gonz trying to get national recognition which seems odd since gonz has gone to the big dance year after year for too many years to count now and have done very well. i should think they have very good national recognitionComment -

#267Dex, tomorrow I'm liking Memphis at home against the Clipps & Orlando away against the Pacers. Maybe a smaller play on the Suns, home and away series system but 9.5 to get against a rejuvenated Warriors team is a fair bit for the Suns.
Memphis showed against the Lakers they could play well and have recently had large wins (>9 points) against Washington and Memphis consequtively. While the Clippers have lost their last 5 games by an average of greater than 20 points. Historically there isn't too much to compare as it's about 50-50 but Memphis won the last game, which was at home by 12 points. Liking the Grizzlies here as they have beening playing well lately and the Clippers vice versa.
Orlando are playing the Pacers who are back to back and playing their third game in four nights. The last five games against the Pacers, Orlando is 4-0-1, with 2 of the wins in Indy. The last 2 games against Indy Orlando have won by an average of 19 points. Orlando is 17-5 ATS against versus poor defensive teams - allowing 99+ points/game and 14-2 versus good offensive teams - scoring 99+ points/game. Leaning Orlando here, but will review it... best case scenario is Indy win tonight and then Orlando has a blowout tomorrow.Comment -

Enjoy you quality time non. I really like your gonzaga pick. Methinks they'll run away with this one against the pilots. They've averaged over 20 pts on their previous seven wins and the only one that came close was st marys which they took also. I think thy'll be very focused here 'cause if they take this one they stand a good chance of going undefeated since the next time they play st marys mills will be out. The pilots are playing well and thy're at home but I think the bulldogs will be looking to shut them early.Comment -

I think this game is more important although their memphis game WILL give them top 25 consideration. They lose this one and they'll be tied with portland which will motivate them to play hard and try to finish them off early imo.Comment -

We use Greek for the day to day wagers and Betus for the live betting. I actually think that the Greek is better for it, but you have to call and set up an alias account in order to do it the right way ifyou already have one, or just keep the one you have and let that one be it, and get another account somewhere else.Comment -
