#142MISS ST / MARQUETTE UNDER 137
CANISIUS -1 (4 Units)
14-12 overall so far this season. I am picking at 54% right now, and am up 3.4 Units so far (bankroll update).
Here's what I like for tomorrow:
Nebraska +1 (2 units)
Michigan -2 (2 units)
Nebraska faces a Tulane team that is 3-1 so far this season. That one loss came on the road (their only road game so far) against a Georgia Tech team that is just...eh. Tulane will be in for a rude awakening when they play at Nebraska in the form of defense and a formidable inside game. It seems the Cornhuskers have continued to take after their old coach, Doc Sadler, still playing stellar defense. They are giving up points in the 50's per game, and only surrendered 48 against Valpo at home. For those who don't know Valpo can really score and have a couple of guys who can really shoot it. The Huskers shut them down. If you look at these prospective rosters as well, you will notice two big guys inside for Nebraska in Ubel and Almeida. They are both 6-10+ and are dominant on defense and on the glass. Ubel is also 235, and Almeida is a bruising 300+ pounds at 6-11. Tulane has two forwards getting the majority of their minutes who are 6-6 and 6-8. As long as the Nebraska big men can stay out of foul trouble, they should be fine and should anchor the defense. Tulane will score no more than 60, and I like Nebraska a lot here. Dylan Talley seems as though he can score as well for the Huskers...
I like Michigan a lot as well on a neutral floor. Burke, Hardaway and Morgan will be formidable all year long, but we all know John Bielen's system is what makes this team click. They are tough on defense and always seem to get good shots. They're 3-0 and have blown out all their opponents thus far. To be honest, I like Pitt, they have a lot of good players (Woodall, Zanna, Taylor...) but I just don't know that they're ready to bounce back and contend with Michigan yet. Keep on eye Nik Stauskas who can make shots for Michigan and take a little pressure off of their hot-shot players. They also have this freshman McCray who comes in and is a beast on the glass. I think -2 is easily achieved here. Good luck.

#145I got in at: Nebraska -1.5
Michigan -2.5
So Nebraska odds really changed to say the least. I also did a parlay teaser adding 5 points to each.

#146What up wiz, I like the system I just don't like betting on nba. Dunno why it's just not my thing ya know? I like to stick with what works.
Also, I'm adding in two plays guys:
Marquette -4
Butler +2.5
To be honest I am very shocked that Marquette is this small of a favorite, USC has not looked very good at Maui and barely beat a depleted Texas team missing their best player and another starter. If they couldn't stop Illinois scoring, how are they gonna stop Marquette's up-tempo offense?
Butler has intangibles, a gritty nature and Brad Stevens. They are my favorite team to watch so far this year. I'm surprised they are underdogs after knocking off UNC. When Rotnei Clarke handles the ball be sure to notice how much the floor spreads and all the space they have to operate. He is this years Jimmer Fredette, and makes room for everyone to have open shots because of his long-range and the attention he draws. That is deadly when everyone else on the team can shoot too.

#148I just locked in Marquette -5. Seems I never get as good as spread as the rest do.
Rontei Clarks hand injury got me worried on the Butler bet. I looked it up and seems he hurt it last game. Gwills, do you know about this, and would you still recommend this bet if he can't play? I noticed a lot of your write up was all bout how great this player is......Comment -

#151Yeah, i feel as though he'll play. If he's probably it should be fine. Man, rookie mistake by me though missing that. Thats a key piece of information. Thanks COU, Baldguy. Looks like I'll get bailed out, though.
Still like them at +2.5, with him listed as probable.Comment -

#153"Probable" in most sports 90% means they will play normally. It doesn't scare me much. He'll want to get out there and help his team win it all at Maui. If he is ruled out, I wouldn't take it, so maybe wait a little closer to game time, baldguy, if you're worried.Comment -

#155Michigan should be a much larger favorite, IMO. That scares me. It could just be a gift line, but I'm laying off. I actually just opened a 6-team open parlay with Pitt ML as the first play, for half a unit. It may very well lose, but I like to take a few shots at starting an open parlay with a +ML. I'm only 1 out of 6 with it, but the one I hit was ND over Oklahoma in NCAAF, and starting that parlay with a +350sih dawg made up for all the other loses.
Good luck tonight!Comment -

#157I have Pitt ML. I think Pitt should be 6-7pt dogs, so seeing Michigan open at -2.5, move to -4, and move back makes me think the books want more money on Michigan. I'm not a huge believer in RLM, but I like to take shots at times. :]Comment -

#160I just locked Butler in for +2.5. I'm not really worried, just wanted to know if you knew, and if not, to re-evaluate if you still felt this was a pick for tonight. Will actually make the game more interesting. (to see if he plays and if so, if he seems hurt). My units are very small and I just play for fun.Comment -

#168You was wrong. Thank God.Well, we won 3 out of 4 so far. I won 4 with my 2 team teaser parlay. Sadly, the Butler game isn't looking too promising. Perhaps the injury had something to do with it, don't know. O well, I'm in the black for the night, so life isn't too bad. Plus the Butler game isn't over. So a miracle could happen.

3-1, 17-13 overall. Good day today guys. I honestly still believe Butler was a good pick, Clarke was clearly fine after hurting his hand (had 27 points), they just didn't execute defensively. Really made some good runs to cut it close and even cut it to 5 at one point, but just didn't have enough gas. Oh well, still a good night / day of betting hoops!
I am gonna look at the games tomorrow and be back soon.Comment -

#172Guys my plays tomorrow (not going to add anything new tomorrow btw, just gonna hang with family and watch / maybe bet some football) are as follows:
Missouri -2 (-120)
Gonzaga -12
I know that Stanford is a good team, even though they just lost to Belmont at home (who is also a good team). They play good defense. Last year they were not a good offensive team away from home, and I expect that to continue this year. Missouri is a different breed. They run, run and run some more. I love taking these small spreads with teams that have high-octane offenses. The Tigers are also more solid inside this year than they were last year, with Bowers back and Alex Oriakhi. Pressey is a quick little boy and they always have guys who can shoot.
I know -12 is a big spread...but I LOVE the Zags. They blow out everyone they play it seems, and I seriously think they will beat Clemson by 20+ points. They can go on runs where they score 10 points in a row without letting their opponent score. Opposing coaches blow through their timeouts against Gonzaga to stop all the runs they have. I like them to cover this...Clemson isn't that good I don't think.Comment -
