My only play for 1/8 is:

Duke -17

Clemson has looked awfully weak in their last couple of games, including a 20+ point loss on the road to Coastal Carolina. On the flip side, Duke has shown they can really blow out almost any inferior team they play by 20+. I like them by at least that margin here. Clemson plays good D, but I think have been looking discouraged after some losses, plus Duke's offense comes sooooo easily at home. Clemson has trouble scoring and doesn't really have a go-to guy. Booker will be neutralized by the big bodies Duke has. I like 17+.

I honestly believe Duke has this penciled in as a W already and is more focused on the weekend. Granted they will win this game, but I do not believe they are going to show up for the entire 40 minutes. I've watched K for 3 decades and it seems like he builds the big lead and lays down in the 2nd half since he knows he can chew the clock and shorten the game. Wake was a good example of this over the weekend. There was no reason they couldn't have put 25+ on them but he was coasting in cruise control. Regardless, I will be laying the points because I do not bet against my team, but I just wanted to get everyone else's input because I really do not like the remainder of the choices on the board.

I really appreciate explaining it to me. Makes sense. People thinking like yourself would explain why the line is dropping as fast as panties in a strip club. I think I might get in another unit on Duke if it drops much more.

Here is what I am doing

Duke -15 for 2units
Duke -8.5 1H for pocket change (sucker bet but I hope I am wrong)
Depaul +9 (trend, UCONN has covered spread 4 straight against, plus I had to take a dog)
Missouri -9 (I can not see Alabama covering against a superior team away. Rebounds are key and Missouri has the edge) 1unit

Locked in on these numbers and if anyone sees something I do not then please share.

If they win by less, so be it, but I have watched Clemson play their last few games and they have looked pretty dreadful, and at Cameron Indoor, teams often look twice as dreadful as they are, and Duke looks twice as good as they are.

I'm a Dukie homer this year though. I LOVE this team. I picked them at +2200 for the national title and put $100 on it to start the year. I'm very optimistic at this point. (I usually pick 1 or 2 teams at the beg. of each season. My other one is Kansas).

I agree with your evaluation of the team and play. These are the type of plays that I shoot myself for because I wear my emotions on my sleeve and think twice before commiting. I think Duke coasts and hopefully we can sit back and enjoy the $$$ after the first 10 or so minutes.
