This game is a total pass because Spain is notorious for sandbagging. They don't want to show the US much going into the Olympics, just look at 2008, Spain lost by like 35 pts in the round robin stage and then almost won in the Gold medal game. Or maybe this is different and they see blood in the water with the way US looked vs. Brazil and Argentina and try to win. Who knows? My guess would be Spain doesn't care and the US covers but no bet.

They beat Great Britain by 4

They beat France by 16... then only 5.

They beat Australia by 6 & again by 6


They could have easily won every game by 25+... but didn't wanna put any effort and any strategy that will reveal there game plan in the olympics.... they've been doing this for years.

A Gold medal is all that matters. If they continue with their usual strategy yes they could sandbag. But I agree being a home game they could win outright - hence no bet.

Spain didn't sandbag vs. US in 2010 in the final friendly before the WC. Most of the time, teams want to beat the US if they can.

First possession of the game :24 clock runs completely out and then just resets and keeps going while someone is dribbling.

Announcers mystified just say "there was a...reset..." Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in international ball. Hard to bet when things are run this incompetently.

a lot of injuries, it's been the major story about the American team. Howard is really their inside guy but he's out, and they had Blake Griffin, but he got injured. Also Bosh and Aldridge declined due to health issues.

Now they're using Anthony Davis.
