NBA games are full of ebbs and flows. If you're confident about a half in the first place, if the 1st Q hits then you can close shop and take your winnings and not have to worry about a 2nd Q run. If not hit then 2nd Q

I've bet alot of halves just to see my team easily cover the 1st Q and not cover the half because of a run in the 2nd. Going quarter to quarter has been better for me (IE- when a home team is down a bit at the end of the 3rd and show good effort in the game, I'll usually hit the 4th Q -- look at New Orleans and Portland last night as examples). I like going quarter to quarter instead of an entire 24-minute half, it depends on the situation. A plethora of things can happen in 24 minutes of an NBA game

Sometimes I'll bet both the 1st Q and 2nd Q if I feel really confident in a play.. as I mentioned in the OKC game thread the other night where I bet both, or in the Suns gamethread when Nash was out and on a b2b. I went for the opposing team 1st Q and 1st half , both covered.

yeah. We have to keep in mind that Philly is a team that beats down the poor teams and don't cover against the good ones. The record difference is astonishing. They are something like 20-2 ATS against poor teams and its the total opposite against the good ones.

If Boston comes out like they did vs Milwaukee, then not only can Boston cover, but they have a good shot at winning SU. Because Philly will be facing the good boston version, not the version that totally laid down in the last meeting .. just like Philly faced the shit version of the Knicks 2 sundays ago and beat down the knicks (who stunk and were on a 6 game losing streak), but post coaching change, the knicks beat em on their home court and clearly looked the better team.

This is not a game I am in love with on either side. I'll take a look at the pregame and make a decision then.

I don't see how I can't roll with the Sixers.

And if Sixers drop a bomb on Boston, look for Boston to beatdown Washington on Sunday. Boston will be rested in that game, whereas Washington will be in the middle of a b2b2b. Perhaps a bit reminiscent to when Boston went into Phili a couple weeks ago and lost by 30, and then came back home to beat down Portland by 20+ in their next game.

same here, i think Boston will pass this game, specially if they are not close enough early 3rd quarter.

Man my Sixers have been playing terrible the last 16 games.. I hope they can come back, however, they have been utterly disjointed on the offensive end.. Plus they are a first half team, horrific in close games and the 4th quarter. Hust hope they can simply win this one.
