John are you picking 100% of the plays that you are posting. I have been following for awhile and some of those write ups seem a little not your style, especially the last month or so.

Good thing I went with the mavs last night John, Orlando's way too unpredictable, let's not forget earlier in the season they seemed to struggle just to put up 60 points...I don't think those demons have left them-especially after losing to a Amare and Linless Knicks

This has been a bad stretch.. but it happens and it will not be the last time it happens.. I sort of get positive during these stretches knowing that the next major winning streak is ever so close.

It is like a baseball coach telling a player that with every out made or strikeout, they are that much closer to hitting the next home run.

Hey John Ive been following you for a while and I just wanna say from my experience that there is no reason to back a team like Cleveland right now....your simulator doesnt see what a mess a team is. I've cashed against cleveland 4 times in a row because they are easily the worst team in the league right now. I am not trying to disrespectful in any way. I am just saying dont make a step out play on a team that is playing terrible

Interesting you bring this up. An old timer that I have the greatest respect for plays these dogs in the second half of the season when playing strong teams. His way of working things for this one part of his handicapping is that any team over .700 playing a team under.380 in the first half of theseason, the elite team gets his backing, BUT once you get to the second half of the season, the opposite occurs because the line reflects the pubic's lack of support for any struggling type team. So, in the second half for the season, playing ugly dogs with records of .380 or worse and playing against an elite team with a record of .700 or better will get his backing. Check it out.

This Cleveland play had nothing to do with that handicapping method as the Knicks are a team that is a mess as well. They may be one game over .500, but the chemistry is not there and the locker room from everything you read in NY media releases has been toxic since the beginning of the season.

I noticed too, that 12 1/2 point dog New Orleans nearly won the game over the Lakers. and to be fair, Cleveland was down just 6 points entering the fourth stanza, so, it looks like I was 'lucky' enough to pick the only ugly dog that did not cover yesterday. That's the way it goes on some days.

I appreciate your post and I think down the stretch here we will keep a track of the 'old guys' plays and see how the ugly dogs do against the elite teams. Take a look a look too at a team like Miami, who have had so many goes covered easily at the the end of three periods only to take their foot off the gas and end up winning, but getting back doored.

We are all here to learn and this is a good handicapping technique to monitor down the stretch. Thanks

Cle was a decent play. Didn't watch the game, but they were in it til the 4th qtr so disgusting. Didn't lay to much on te game as I liked other plays more. However, cle should have covered that game especially using the angle teams w/o their star play better. Or just cover spreads majority of the time in the 1st game w/o the star. You could argue cle is cle but blah blah blah.

what? cleveland is terrible and they were never going to cover. they have no depth and the 4th quarter just shows how they ran out of steam.

Ive said it before, can't make picks for or against the knicks. no one has figured them out yet and they play solid ball in order for them to be an unknown in anyone's "system"

Hey John,

I live here in MKE! ANd it is sooo painful to watch this team play!!! I have had difficulty in playing them. They have choked so many leads in the 4th quarter!!! I do like Chicago, just not so sure about giving WIzzards 7 points? DId I just say that....the Wizzards??? HA!
